Back to sw again with a fair old gain to lose.
Made some vegetable soup today with cabbage, carrots, leek and a herb stockpot. Then blitzed it up and boiled some pasta , then added the pasta to make like a minestrone slant on it. Really tasty .

pebbles67 said:Yay, come over to the synners side. I have done both and sw just works better for me. Try it see how you go. I've always lost well. 2stone this time around . I love that you can allow a gain and then work it off again if needed. Like my holiday just a few days back. All inclusive food and drink gained half a stone, but carefree relaxing time after such an awful first 6 months of the year. Definitely what was needed. Now back ready to continue and move on with a big smile on my face .
So, need any help with syns etc just post plus you've got my fb details.
How's Tracy doing ? Have you heard? She moved over didn't she, I must text her
What's happening on the house front ive lost the loop now, send out a search party for that blender xx

A few weeks back I bought 3 small gammon joints for £10 in an offer, then three them in the freezer. Roasted one recently.
Then whilst out shopping at the weekend I was looking at the slices of ham thinking ' jeez ham is so expensive nowadays' £2 for 6 slices etc, and when you eat ham like us slimming worlders do it's flipping expensive.
Then I remembered the gammon joints. So I flies off home and defrosts one.
I put a teaspoon of fennel seeds and coriander seeds ( purely cos I had them at the back of the cupboard ) into a saucepan, added a chopped onion and a clove of garlic, 100ml red wine then added the gammon joint and added water until joint was just covered. Bring to boil then simmer for an hour and 10 mins. When cooled a bit I sliced off the blubbery fat leaving just a few millimetres . Mixed a tablespoon of marmelade with a teasp of mustard ( preferably wholegrain) and smeared over edge with remaining fat then cooked in oven for 20 mins. Beautiful! Sliced thinly and put into the fridge to eat at my hearts content. Wonderful taste, no added water, no gristle and easy to trim fat off.
Woohoo the blender and cooker live on. Thank goodness you must be getting real impatient now. Fingers crossed .
The ham- dead easy and you can use cider or ginger ale or coke instead of water and red wine, and any herbs spices you like. The wholesale butchers ham is a great saving. Need one down this way. Wise choice dubs about sticking with ww leading up to Christmas , too much going on to change, never thought about that .
Dinner tonight - mash, cauliflower cheese, mixed veg, pork and apple grills from joes sausages. Gravy .

I really hope it gets sorted and soon, but if that means losing weight- well there's only one thing for it . I'm not gonna let you suffer anymore so you just sort that fridge out and get your meals planned cos I'm on your tail.
A weekend away you lucky lucky bunny, mind you I can't be jealous I've just had the most wonderful holiday away, yes dubs just me and other half, kid free - bliss although I can't wait to take them along with us next year.

I've not seen that ham in Iceland so I'll keep a look out, but for now I've a ham mountain to climb.

Meal themes sounds a good idea. May steel thatTracy831 said:Hi ya pebs good to hear from you too
I do have my meals planned for the next five weeks, and they can be easily adapted to ww or sw so im good to go in that department, its just i need willpower !
The knee thing is litterally a pain, the consultant said if i were 20 years older i would be getting a knee replacement but im too young! So he wanys to see if it gets better by me loosing weight, and now im getting a grinding noise in my other knee when im coming down the stairs, so you think that would be my incentive but its just not happening
Can you come and live here so you can kick my butt everyday !!!!!! Hahaha
My meal plans i do a theme for each day, mondays are meat and mash, tuesdays pasta , wednesdays are healthy fry up, thursdays are slow cooker, fridays are fish, saturdays are fakeaway nights, and sundays are roast, i plan on a weekly basis so there is something different on each day and i start at week one then go through the weeks and start at week one again.
But if im getting bored with what i planned then i just change the dish! Xx
