This might sound a bit something-or-other
but I thought I'd throw it out there as it's helping me right now. I found in on an NLP website. You imagine there is a button in each hand. In one... you make a nice movie in your mind about what it will look like/ sound like/ feel like when you have reached your goal (make it nice and compelling). In the other hand do the same thing but this time the movie in your head is that nothing whatsoever has changed for the better (in our case no nearer the weight loss target.) Then close the fist where you want to push the button and see what happens. Pushing the nice button seems to remind me why I'm doing this. (I can say that when I've closed my left fist... the one where nothing has changed I do not want to go anywhere near the fridge!!)
