    Hi guys,
I'm on SS for the second time (day 5) and am determined! Would like to lose 4st. I used to run many yrs ago and would love to get back into it and dream of doing a marathon!
Anyone taking up running having lost/in the process of losing weight?
    Any advice please! Xx

i've just started running again, after a more than a year off. managed 3 runs in the last week, all pretty slow - but one step at a time!

I'm gonna be running. Bit injured so it'll be slow. U can't go far on VLCD. Lack of fuel!

Give it a go. Walk and run to begin. 1 min walk, 1 min run. Or run to one almost, walk to next and so on. Build up slowly. Don't try to run longer or faster each time u run. Try to enjoy :) get a buddy if you can...

Well done! It is little steps isn't it and making that first push from walk to jog to run!

thats exactly what i've done...ran at a slow jog as i could; my plan is to increase by 10 mins each week, then slowly build the speed up. Doing other cardio stuff in between, but running is definitely the best to rip the fat off. I have a history of picking up stupid lower limb injuries, so taking it easy for first couple of months

Definitely recommend a warm up and stretch afterwards. Decent stretching. Not token stuff. You tube stretches. That'll help keep u going injury free.

Weights are great too. Are you near any classes like body pump or conditioning etc? You can you tube workouts if need be.

    Ul see a difference :)
