    Hi All,

Newbie here! My first time trying Atkins and so far so good!
I have a question though....I've heard about Atkins flu; headaches, nausea etc but I'm a little unsure whether I'm experiencing that or I've got a stomach bug!
Started Atkins on Weds, but I was up most of last night with crippling stomach cramps and a lot of gas. I put it down to atkins but this morning I've been feeling nauseous and I've been sick. Any thoughts?

    TIA x

I would say, yes, this is Atkins flu. Some get away with some stomach cramps and some have it a lot worse. This time round I had a couple of banging headaches and some sharp intestinal pains, but it all soon passed and yours will too. You've probably dramatically changed your eating habits and your insides are going 'WTF!?'

Good Luck, by Sunday you will wake up refreshed and full of energy no doubt!

Thanks for that! I have to say I feel absolutely awful, but you're right, I was a carb-o-holic!
I'll persevere though. Doesn't seem right to go through this and not see it through to the end!
