B Slimming World 2014! Here we go again...

So I had a lazy day in today and still managed to resist eating too much! Proud moment, even when my daughter opened her Easter egg early!

Breakfast ; coffee 2sugars (2syns) with almound milk.

Lunch ; a mugshot (tomato and basil flavour) , 1 of my already cooked mini quiche muffins and 2 kewi fruits for after- 0syns!

Drinks Pepsi max, 0 syns.

Dinner; home made pasta bake, will post recipe below (1 syns ) , melon for after, 0 syns.

Total syns for the day - 3 (don't no how I managed to keep the, so low today, I am very full as well!


My pasta bake: 1 syn per serving on extra easy!

Ingredients;
- quorn mince
- pasta
- chopped tomatoes. 1 tin
- salt and pepper
- garlic, 2 cloves
- oregano, 1tsp
- frozen peas, 1 cup
- 2tsp green pesto
- Worcester sauce, 2tbs
- 28g low fat cheddar (healthy extra group A)


How to do it;

Spray pan with low fat cooking spray and fry quorn mince until softened,

Add the chopped tomatoes, garlic, oregano and pesto , stir in well and cook for a few minutes until bubbly.

Meanwhile boil your frozen peas so they are soft and cook your pasta in a separate pan.

Add peas, Worcester sauce, salt and pepper to the pan , stir in and turn down to simmer for 10-20mins or until all liquid has been absorbed .

Put all the pasta on the bottom layer of a baking tray and the cover the pasta with the mixture from the pan . Grate the cheese on top of that.

Bake in the oven for a further 15mins (180degrees)

do you know what I have found doing slimming world ... I LOVE my food when it is freshly made, but freezing certain meals and having them during the week doesn't seem to have that wow factor. I think I'm going to have to find some quick recipes that in can make fresh each day to make it more enjoyable.

The two recipes you have posted are a great idea.
 
The above pasta dish serves 4.

Me and my partner don't freeze it, but we put it in the fridge and have the rest a few days later, takes about 4 minutes in microwave to warm back up.

Ate a lot for me today, actually had 3 meals plus a snack!

Breakfast (NO COFFE :eek: ) , sausage and egg sandwiches. 2 rounds of bread (healthy extra group b ) , 5syns

Lunch; completely syn FREE , salad of lettuce and cucumber with prawns and salmon slices. Then kewi and melon for after.

Dinner; slimming world recipe of diet coke chicken, served with rice. 0 syns.

Happy to post recipe of diet coke chicken if some of you don't have it as it is from a slimming world magazine.

Drank Pepsi max cherry all day, 0syns

Total syns 5


I also did a sneaky weigh in this morning and have lost 1lb!!

Forgot to include my snack!

I had a chocolate and coconut alfren bar which is 3.5 syns .

Which brings my total for the day up to 8.5 syns. Xx
 
Just had my lunch,maws every yummy!

Jerk Chicken DrumSticks with Salad! 0.5 syns!



Ingredient needed:

- light soy sauce
- sweet chilli sauce
- jerk chicken seasoning
- chilli flakes
- coriander
- chicken drumsticks


Marinade chick drumsticks In ALL ingredients, then leave in the fridge for 3-4 hours.

Cook drumsticks In the oven for 30mins at 180 degrees a d serve with salad.
 
Very tired today so won't ramble on too much!

Diary for the day...

Breakfast the usual coffee with 2 sugars a, 2 syns.

Lunch; jerk chicken drumsticks with salad (recipe posted above) and a banana for after, 0.5 syns

Snacks; mini quiche muffin 0 syns!

Dinner; slimming world tandoori lamb recipe, 0 syns. With a muller light yogurt for desert, 0 syns.

Drinks, Pepsi max cherry 0 syns

Total for the day, 2.5 syns! Record!
 
Started my food diary and slimming world again exactly 1 week ago and I am proudly say I am down 3lb! I am now 13st1lb !

Was very boosted this morning after discovering I have lost 3lb so I have felt very motivated to keep it up!

Day 8 food diary;

Breakfast was the usual coffee with 2 sugars, 2syns!

Lunch was syn free salad of lettuce and cucumber with prawns and salmon slices.

Dinner ; sloppy joes in whole meal bags (hea.tht extra group b) , 0 syns - will pits recipe if anyone wants it?

Drinks; Pepsi cherry max 0 syns

Total syns for the day 2 !

My Homemade Pasta Bake
 
Had a very experimental day today, trying out new recipes, one of my own creating and another that I have adapted from another Slimming world members online recipe book.

So my food diary of the day;

Breakfast- coffee 2 sugars, 2 syns, with one banana FREE

lunch- roasted stuff peppers, pizza style - 0 syns

Ingredients:
- Romano peppers
- 100g passage
- 2 garlic
- tsp mixed herbs
- 28g of low fat cheddar cheese (HEA)
- left over chicken (or any free pizza topping you may want to use)

Cut in half and de seed the peppers place on a baking tray and put the. In the oven for 8-10 minutes until they are soft.

Meanwhile put the passata in a saucepan , mix in the garlic and herbs and stir until boiling.

Place the chicken and passata mixture In the peppers then gate cheese on top.

Finally cook in the oven for a further 15 minutes, PICTURE BELOW.

I'm sat here giggling to myself as I was trying to figure out what passage was ... Thought it was a bee food is not heard of yet .... Then it dawned on me you passata haha

I literally hate the autocorrect on my iPad! Makes me look so illiterate lol.

It does say passata further down in the recipe lol so hopefully people can guess! So annoying.
