Hi all, just wanted to check.

    Balsamic vinegar is free, yes?

I think it is but then in my book Balsamic dressing isn't free - but is that different?

    Thanks xXx

Hi, the vinigar one is definitely free, but the dressing is more of a sauce so it is syned, 20 cals per syn syn rule.

There's balsamic vinegar, balsamic dressing, and balsamic glaze. Vinegar is free, dressing will probably have oil in it.

I have some Balsamic Glaze which I got from Tesco, and it contains sugar, and it is 31 calories (one and a half syns) per tablespoon. But it is very concentrated so I doubt I would even use a tablespoon (it is lovely on boiled potatoes and boiled eggs, but only a tiny amount), so I am happy to use the syns on it.
