Bananas

When I went to slimming world a while ago (2004!). they thought bananas affected losses as those who had eaten a few in the week remained the same or had little loss. Has anyone come across this? what do you think?
 
It might depend on how many 'a few' is! A large banana can have a hundred calories and also contains fat and carbohydrate. There's nothing beyond the science which would mysteriously cause weight gain.

They're a very good food - in moderation!
 
I only have 1 a day and make sure it's a small one.
 
my sw consultant said alot of people are 'afraid' of bananas and htey should not affect weight loss. i have one a day and do not nor have not had any bad effects
 
I sometimes have 2 bananas/day. 1 sliced with my cerials in the morning and another 1 as a snack in between meals. I don't think there is any harm in eating more then 1/day. But everybody is different :)

I don't think 1 a day will affect your weight loss, but we had folk in our class who ate 3 or 4 a day and stopped losing.
