Batchelers savoury rice ?? how do you do yours ??

Ive cooked off a packet of the mexican one and having it cold for lunch , at work tommorow
what do you add to it , using free food ??

I add quorn pieces and extra veggies- whatever I have to hand.

Batchelors savoury rice is free. I put some peas in it and cook a two egg omelette to go with it. I also put a drop of "Encona" sauce (half a syn a tblsp) so its a sort of spicy eggy rice and pea thing. Nice! x

I bought a pile of batchelors rice a while ago when it was on offer, but I havent touched it yet, instead revelling in the fact I can have pasta and jacket potatoes! will have to mix it up

i do it with chicken and salad and sometimes a jacket too

have added chopped toms , cuc , spring onion , yellow pepper , celery , and capers and chopped gerkins , and sweetcorn to half a packet .
its very colourful , lol

I add frozen mixed veg (and occasionally prawns) to the dry rice then add the water and cook as normal - we named it Quick Risotto (LOL), quick, tasty, filling!

my favourite thing as a snack is a pkt of golden rice with a couple of chopped up eggs mixed through and 2 tbs hellmans extra light mayo, it is good for a buffet or salad, mine never makes it though!
