Seen as the weather is getting alot colder tomorrow night I'm going to cook one of our family favourites which is beef stew and dumplings. Could anyone give me a hand in pointing this up please?

I will be using the following and this will feed 4 people over 2 days so will be 8 servings
900g stewing beef (all fat removed)
Carrots 0pp
Parsnips 0pp
Turnip 0pp
Onion 0pp
500g potatoes (approx - raw weight)
3 oxo cubes
6 tablespoons gravy granules

I will try my best to point up the dumplings from the NI on the pack

Thanks in advance

stewing steak,raw, lean - 27pp per 100g

parsnip isn't 0pp its 1pp per 50g, 2pp per 100g

500g potato - 11pp

3 oxo cubes are 1 pp

6 tbsp gravy granules - 7pp

so i'd guess around 7pp per portion (depending on how much parsnip you are using)

That sounds delicious! I may have to steal this recipe and freeze it all. The joys of being a student :)

i'd just point it as 1pp to be on the safe side. as 50g is 1pp so will be less then that overall.... but you can't always be sure how evenly you dish it up so you could end up with nearer 50g worth

300g / 8 = 37.5g
