Been diagnosed as CJD

Hi, I posted a while ago about my sister-in-law being in hospital but they didn't know what was wrong with her, well it has now been diagnosed as CJD - thats mad cow disease for anyone who hasn't heard of it. Since the troubles about it many years ago, it all went quiet on this front and to be honest I never thought we would hear of it again. Apparently it can lie dormant in the system for 25 years plus. No body knows what triggered it off or anything, its one of those things. It is a terrible time for us all, they have given her about 4 months to live. Family is absolutely devistated. She is in the University hospital at Coventry and dealing with a centre in Edinburgh who specialise in CJD but there is no cure for it. She is getting the best care there and the staff are wonderfull.
I wonder if those of you that pray, if you would pray for her tonight and her family, and keep them in your thoughts.
So just wanted to let you all know the circumstances I am dealing with at the moment and thats why I won't be around as much on the boards, but I will try and pop on and see how you are all doing.

What dreadful, sad news, it must be heartbreaking for everyone involved. All my best wishes are with you and your family. I wish there was more I could do.
