    Hi all,

Been reading thru threads and I am starting to realise it's not just me who has such highs and lows on Lighter Life. I'll briefly explain why I am here and why I am in a pickle.

I started LL last year but after 4 days packed it all in. Just found it so hard. My mum continued and lost 3 stones and kept it off. I joined WW and in four months I lost 2 stone. I was happy but I knew I was still 2 stone over weight and just was finding it sooo hard to diet anymore, my bad habits were just creeping up on me at all angles :(. This was May and I am getting married in August - so my mum who wanted to shift a bit more weight said why not try LL again. I was desperate so thought what the hell! Anyway this time round was fab - I postponed everything for the first couple of weeks as only told nearest and dearest that I was on it. Lost 16lbs in the first 3 weeks - fab I thought!! Cheated after that and it took absolutely ages to get back in to ketosis, then once I was back in it after a week I'd only lost a lb and I was so disheartened. Then I had my hen weekend (and had already decided to enjoy and worry later). Now I am trying to get back into ketosis but it is so hard, I am going to a bbq tonight and I can see myself picking and I have a night out Friday and just just don't think I have the willpower to do this anymore.

I know I only want to lose another 7ish lbs but the way I am going its going to take me forever so do you think I am better switching to WW and doing it that way sensibly up to my wedding - I am just dreading not having my packs to fall back on and eating food and my bad habits getting me!

Sorry for the rant just really want some advice xx

    Don't diet anymore!
I think you need to phone your lighterlife counsellor and have a good long chat, at the end of the day you are paying a lot of money for his/her support and not just the sachets so give them a ring and ask what is best.

For me it sounds like with only 7 pounds left you could do this through a strict healthy eating plan and drinking loads of water and getting more active but have a chat with your LLC and then make an informed decision.

    Hiya Katherine,
I agree with Mike, give your counsellor a call see what she/he advises... Have you thought about going into Management, which would be 3 packs and protein for the first 3 days then adding green leaves... Just a thought coz if you have a plan, then you won't feel like you're 'cheating'...

Some people do still lose on Management, so you may well be one of them...

good luck and well done on your weightloss to date :D

You like me can almost smell the finish line - 7lbs is nothing in the grand scheme of things and can easily be shifted within two weeks on LL. It will take a lot longer on WW.

I took the decision to 'suspend' my life on Sunday last and to go for it big time in order to lose my last 7lbs - there is no picking or even sniffing of food. All invitations for drinks/dinner have been declined and I am living hour to hour sustained only by gallons of water and the belief that I am one day closer to my desired weight.

Just go the the mirror and look at how much better you look now - it it worth risking that for a sausage?!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe me it isn't. The Bar-B-Q will come and go rapidly but how you choose to handle the situation is likely to have much longer term implications - for good or bad.

Come on girl - batten down those hatches with me and lets weather the storm for those last 7lbs!
