Help

My whole family are going for a big family meal on the 17th at Harvester and their food isnt exactly low fat! Does anyone have any advice or should i just cancel going?? I dont like salads so its not like i could just stick to the salad cart

I was intending to come of the pills 3 days before Christmas day so i could have a few treats christmas day and Christmas lunch then back on them the day after boxing day. The days leading upto Christmas day i was going to still eat low fat and stick to the 5gm rules etc just not take the pills so i wont have any side effects when i do have couple treats and christmas lunch. Is 3 days before Christmas day long enough for it to be out my system so i do not get any side effects?

Thank you for any advice.

WHne you got o Harvester have something like a grilled chicken breast with a baked potato (request no butter) and you should be fine! I'm going to ASK this week and there don't seem to be any low fat options as they slather everything with olive oil!

I stopped taking my tablets three days before I went on holiday and had no side effects when I ate fatty food. I will also be doing the same!

Yeah, as I was reading your post I was thinking that chicken breast with jacket potato would probably be the best option :) I usually have steak, but it's probably not strictly within the rules

3 days should be more than enough for the tablets to get out of your system at Christmas though. If I know I'll be having a fatty meal, I can get away with just skipping the tablet for that meal, and maybe the one before, but the official 'safe' period is 72 hours I think, so you should be fine!

Enjoy your meal by the way...I really do think that wherever possible we should avoid cancelling meals out etc. because of the tablets.
Partly because life is there to be enjoyed (you don't want to start resenting being on a 'diet'), but also because this is a complete lifestyle change, rather than just a quick way to lose weight, so it's important to get used to socialising and choosing low-fat options rather than avoiding the events altogether.

Have fun!
