Big losses

I helped with WI today in group and I was astonished that one of our newest members had lost a whopping 9lb this week. Now I know that the bigger we are the more big losses we're likely to get in our first few weeks, but this lady wasn't really really big if you know what I mean.

I was amazed at what she'd done.

At my first SW group a lass got her stone award in week 1. She seemed to lose over 7lb a week for a while and lost about 4 stone in the time I was there. She was pretty much SoW each time but by time I last went to that group she looked like a different girl...it was awesome to see :)

i'm big but i've been having small losses so far but the 1st time on SW i lost 6.5 lbs in the first week. Here's to hoping for a bigger loss next WI.

Woah! That's impressive. My first week WI was 5lb off and I was dead chuffed with that. I bet she was grinning from ear to ear!

She did do a little jig...lol. She wasn't planning on staying to group until she realised just how much she'd lost. Then she decided to stay because she'd got her 1/2 stone award.

Hi, I'm not massive, a size 16, and on WW I lost 9lbs in my week 1. I lost 4.5 on my first sw wi. Funny eh... x

I was a size 20-22 when I first started and in my first week I lost just 3lb and the only time I've ever lost more than 3lb since is if I gained the week before.

I'm one of our bigger ladies here, but I am only having small losses since my first WI, but I am in no hurry as long as I have a little weight loss every week then I shall be happy, I'll get there eventually.

Everyone's different, and my last loss was 1.5lbs. It just depends on so many things, water retention, exercise yadda yadda yadda. So what's high for one person is low for another. A loss is a loss so I'm not complaining lol x

Yup, me too. I normally lose about 2lb a week unless I've put on the week before in which case that tends to come off along with my 2lb. Predictable but in a good way! :)

I lost 3lbs my first week and was really pleased as I'd been doing a lot of socialising that week.

Its 27 weeks tomorrow until Christmas eve ..... if we all lost just 1lb a week, we'd be (very nearly) 2 stone lighter by then! If I could be 2 stone lighter (and therefore hopefully 2 dress sizes smaller) by Christmas, I'd be over the moon!

When I was going to class, we had 2 ladies join who were partners and lived together. They were the same weight give a couple of lbs, and in the first week 1 lady lost 11lbs and the 2nd lady 1 1/2lbs. They said they had eaten exactly the same food all week and could vouch for each other as they hadn't been appart. Talk about bodies being different!

It does seem to be that people loose a lot in their first week. I noticed this at the group I went to, and both times I have started this diet I've lost 7lb in the first week. It has slowed down after that, so suspect it must be water retention or just the shock to the system!

The most I have ever lost in a week is 4lb. It is disheartening sometimes but at least its a loss and I keep plugging away with my average 1.5lb loss a week.

After the initial rush I've settled down to something like that and it is a really good, solid, healthy progress. Be proud of yourself! ;)

Good attitude Donnie...

Im bigger too and my losses vary from huge to very little. After a big gain on holiday a while ago, I lost 10 lbs in my next week back on plan. i nearly fell off the scales in shock!

Whats important is that the numbers are going down. x
