    Hi, sorry if this is tmi but I'm on day 4 of CD SS and have not been to the toilet for 5 days..
    Ive read it does say about constipation and just t drink your water and can add some of the fibre powder but that's not working.
    Can you take a laxative every few days to make you go?

    I had very bad constipation last weekend and I took Max strength senakot for 2 days which really helped me xx

    I also have had issues I dont go for days and then when I do its very very hard and painful and takes hours........

    I find the fibre 89 and Senoket the best dont have fibregel though as it contains citric acid. Its normal to not be as regular as you were before because your not consuming as many calories etc the reason you get constipated is because your not getting the bulk fibre that you would have consumed normally. Water helps aswell.

    I have had big problem since the first week. I now put psyllium husk in all my shakes and have Metamucil every other day. I used laxatives a couple f times which help but didn't want to get into the habit of that. I had some "real" food the other day, chicken and salad and must have freaked me out as I had serious runs!!!!!!!!! Good luck...hanging out for SS+ so can have some normal food and resume normal toileting habits! :)

    I have used senakot when I have a 'toilet' issue and its done the job; they key is to keep drinking your water and hopefully it will help. I am on week 7 now and not having any constipation probs now :)

    i'm so glad I'm not the only one facing this 'issue'...

    I never thought I'd miss going for a number 2! *swigs yet more water*

    I have the same problem :/
    I take Senekot Max about once a week, does the job! I found the Cambridge Fiber stuff didn't really work for me though.

    I think Im the only one that suffers with the complete opposite! Im everso slightly worried..... :/

    I do drink peppermint tea all throughout the day, I wonder if thats the reason, as its meant to be good for the stomach.

    Maybe its worth trying this if you are really struggling? (I normally have between 4-5 cups a day) :) x
