I'm still reading this book fairly ashamed that I'm 28 and pining for a fictional 1500 year old vampire from the last book I read hahaha! God I'm a little saddo xx

My fave book that I've read recently is The Secret Scripture by Sebastian Barry (Irish writer & playwright). He writes beautifully. Every sentence is like a line from a poem. If you're not into that sort of thing though I do like an ol' Dan Brown or Michael Connolly one for some edge of the seat thrills!

My best reads this lately have been the twilight saga (yes I'm 37 and fought against it for a very long time but gave in and felt like a teenager again!!!). An Elizabeth Taylor biography (the most beautiful woman ever) anything by Martina cole (gangland but from a woman's perspective. Very brutal at times but hard to put down) crack house (story of London task force with an aim to close 100 crack dens. True story shocking at times and very interesting) nothing too taxing I'm afraid but I like escapism.

my two fav books are The Swan Song by Robert R McCammom and The Throwback by Tom Sharp.
these two are most defo worth a read. even buying the books new is still worth it.
the clan of the cave bear is a good series to read too!

.. i went to see the film too but whilst its a good film, the book is better (which is usually the case).I really like Cecilia Ahern's books which including - If you could see me now, PS I love you and Where rainbows end.
Also i really like Dorothy Koomson, just reading her newest book at the moment. She has seven books in total (listed below). All her books are very different to each other .. she does something for everyone. I've laughed, cried and being totally gripped by her books.

Goodnight beautiful is the saddest book I have ever read. I cried and cried and cried.

Hi, I have just read Clare Morrall "The Man who disappeared", Allan Bennet "Smut" and also by Allan Bennett "The common reader" and "The clothes they stood up in". My all time favourite is Jane Eyre. There is a brilliant reference book called Bloomsbury Good Reading Guide; where you look up the title of a book you enjoyed and it will tell you others that you will most likely like if you liked that one. Recent authors I have found and am enjoying are Roma Tearne and Rohinton Mistry. The TV Book Club (on line references) also recommend some good books and I have been enjoying following that series. Started to read yesterday (on plane back from hols) Val McDermid A place of execution (3 1/2 hour flight was too short!). I love reading. Enjoy! Elaine.
