Cambridge Diet journey

Hi all,

I started CD Sole Source a couple of weeks ago. In fact, i'm now on day 17. I've found reading the forums a real help, especially on bad days so thought I'd try it out and start a regular(ish) diary.

Week one was really awful, especially the first weekend! I felt dizzy and weak but I didn't cheat...which is a first. At weigh in I'd lost 5 and 3/4 pounds. I won't lie, I was GUTTED. Cos i think you do go into this diet with expectations of high numbers in the first week. :cry: BUT..i had a word with myself and gave it another week and lost 4 pounds on last wednesday's weigh in. Let's face it, on any other diet almost 10 pounds in 2 weeks is great, so I'm sticking with it and not weighing myself inbetween. My goal weight is 10 stone and I'm currently 11.11 so still a way to go but far less scary now than when i was in the 12s at the beginning...the biggest ever for me.

Anyway, just a few observations about the diet so far:
  • There's no doubt it works and from the forums it sounds like some of the cdcs are pretty good. Have to say mine doesnt 'counsel' she just gives me the sachets, weighs me and says well done...that's about it. She's more like an Avon lady!
  • My CDC is also very overweight...which I did find a bit disconcerting?!
  • The chicken and mushroom soup is THE WORST thing i've ever had in my mouth
  • Apple porridge is a godsend as it tastes a bit like oatso simple.
So, i'm sticking to it as I've got two weddings in summer and a family hol in aprils and in all honesty my weight has stopped me from going out recently as I don't feel comfortable in my own skin!:(
