Stick around it really is a great site, lots of tips and help from everyone :)

A girl in our sw class lost 7 + stones in 45 weeks - asked how she did it and she just says 'I stuck to the plan 100%'. Sounds easy when you say it so simply.

Wish you loadsaluck - you can do it. Best Wishes.

a lady at our "class" has lost 15 stone on a number of different diets but mostly SW
I've lost 5st since the start of september but I'm huge and have lots still to lose ( another 12 or 13st.. ) and am a bloke so have done very well on it so far..

your diet shows as weight watchers though, are you doing SW?
I'm not saying that you won't get support from people on the SW part if you're WW but it won't be specific .. kind of like asking an audi specialist what's wrong with your clio..

Hi Louise/Lucy !

Welcome to SW. I am sure that it is possible but it is a pretty tough challenge. I have lost almost 3 and a half stone in just over 4 months. I have had quite a few meals out during that time and a holiday but I stick to plan the vast majority of time.

For me, I wouldn't want to set myself such a tough challenge because I wouldn't want to risk feeling disheartened if you did really well but not 'well enough' eg lost 4 stones in 8 months and then fall off the rails. However if you think you'd respond well to the challenge and be happy no matter what you achieved then go for it. Remember, this is not a race - the idea of SW is that it is a plan for life. For most of us the weight didn't go on overnight, nor the eating habits that went with it, so it is unlikely to come off straight away either.

You will get plenty of support here as well as advice and friendship. Sorry to be so negative - I'm not usually but I really would like you (and everyone else here) to succeed (which I am sure that you can - if I can, anyone can !). So I hope you find the right way to do this and best of luck. Keep posting and hope to see you around.

Hi Louise

I too must make 2011 the year to shed the flab. Ideally I would like to lose 4 stone. I have bought a diary with a day to view and times all down the page. I aim to write everything I eat onto the page and at what time. (I have already started it today). I know I can do it because I have lost weight before on Slimming World. I attend class each week and stay as often as I can which is most weeks occasionally I have to weigh and go. The leader is great and gives lots of inspiration and motivation to the class. I come on here most days when time allows and get great tips.

Good luck with your weight loss journey this year, you can do it
