Can you use any form of stock? Stock cubes/stock pots?

You can use marigold vegetable bouillon(reduced salt) I'm sure thatd work

i have reduced salt stock cubes from knorr that i use for my kids teas they are like kiddie stock cubes.wonder if i could use them .does anyone know what they shouldn't have in them ?is it the salt or fat content?
