Hi There ....

I am really struggling with CD, I lost 20lbs in three weeks but haven't done this diet properly for months & not really lost anything from doing it a couple of days then giving up !! how do you all stay so focused & motivated I have 6-7 stone to loose & it just feels like it will never come off, starting to think of giving up on this diet ...... it's so annoying that I know it works coz I have done it !! I have joined the gym yesterday to see if that will fill my time a bit more to think less about not eating ... any ideas/tips would be fab !! sorry for the rant but really starting to loose faith in myself being able to be strict enough for this diet ..........

I'm really sorry to hear how much you are struggling and I can totally inderstand how you are feeling. I had the same amount as you to lose and sometimes felt it was too high a mountain to climb. I feel like I have spent my life thinking about my weight and never really sorting it out. Anyway I got fed up joining slimming clubs and decided on CD back in March/April. Don't get me wrong the first time I tried it I thought I couldn't survive a day let alone six months! My first attempt failed but then I tried again and managed to lose 2 stone before my holiday. I came back from holiday at the end of June and it has taken me until last Monday to restart because my head was not in the right place.

This is my 4th day and (touch wood) I have been fine and am feeling great I keep thinking you only taste food for a few seconds and then it is down the hatch! Those taste buds have got a lot to answer for..I think if you couldn't taste food everyone would be skinny!!!!

Anyway what I'm trying to say is that you have to be in the right frame of mind to do CD and if you're not then it's even more difficult.

Why don't you take a few days off and try to get your head together and once you get through the first few days i'm sure you'll do really well.

hi united, really feel for you. i too have a lot to loose. started at 21st 3lbs a size 28 but 20weeks later i am 15st 10lb and a size 18. I needed a quick diet and felt this was the way to do it and now so pleased i have. Went to scotland last week on a coach i could walk up the aisle on coach and not bang off every person. Also we have a corner bath at home for first time in yrs actually fitted in a straight bath at hotel.Its just the little every day things that keep me motivated. Please try and get back on track it is hard but so worth it never felt so good for years. All the best to you and wish you so much happy cd`ing :party0011::party0011:
