Hi All,

As the festive season is nearly upon us - I thought, what better time to have a bit of fun! :D

I have put together a short CD quiz for you to answer your daily cd routine, habits, treats etc. Then, the game part is where you change 3 things of your normal cd routine for one week.

The winner? The biggest looser of course :D:D:D

The prize? The biggest looser award! (which you can choose your own design logo in your signature!!! hehe..!)

Ok here's how to play. I shall begin the quiz in question form. Please answer them next to each number. Try to answer the questions in some detail!

Ok, so the game part begins after you guys start the quiz!!!

Check the quiz again in a couple of days and post the 3 things you are going to try changing for ONE WEEK. From answers that other people give about there own personal cd regime, you can give those things a go!!!

I will then ask for you all to post back again your weight loss for the week that you made those changes.

1. What times do you have your shakes?

Normally have one at lunchtime - only have one now as I'm on 1000 step (have a cd bar with my coffee in the evening too though).

2. Do you freeze cd bars?

Oh yes! But am beginning to worry that one day I'll bite into my frozen cranberry bar and snap my tooth!

3. How much water do you aim for each day?

A minimum of 2.5L. Prefer it with the water flavourings though.

4. Do you exercise, if yes, for how when and how long?

Ha ha ha, lmao!!!! exercise? what's that?!!!

5. Do you have a variety of shake/soup flavours or stick to the same flavours?

Am very predictable and always have choc/choc mint and cranberry bars. Occasionally change the flavours but always end up back to my faves the following week.

6. How do you cope when things are tough?

I remind myself how well I've done and how great compliments feel. Looking at before and after photos helps too and reminds me I don't want to go back to being obese again. Minimins is a great place to come and read other posts and get inspiration.

7. Do you weigh yourself at home, if yes, how often?

No, don't have any scales at home. Probably a good thing as I'd be weighing myself three times a day!

8. Do you experiment with shakes/soups/bars/tetras (i.e. frezze tetras - icecream, cook soup - crisps) what is your favourite?

Have frozen a chocolate tetra before and that was pretty good.

9. Do you SS or follow another step on CD?

Was SS+ and now on 1000

10. What day of the week do you get weighed with your cd?

Saturday mornings.

11. What is your goal in weight off altogether, since you started cd (i.e. I want to loose 'idealy' ...... stone) and how much have you lost so far?

I want to be 11.5 stones and so far I've lost 6.5 stones. 4lbs to go. Would love to do it by Christmas, but it's not the end of the world if I don't as I want to enjoy myself too.

12. What do you do to keep yourself motivated?

I bake! Sound crazy but since I've been doing CD and not been able to cook properly/bake for myself I've baked for everyone else and have become the cake/biscuit queen of Bournemouth! I love it and am also addicted to the Good Food Channel - it's like my own version of porn addiction!!!

13. What 3 things do you enjoy most about cd?

Losing weight, Feeling Great, Receiving compliments!

14. How does cd fit into your lifestyle or not?

It fitted in easily as it's just me at home and I was able to clear the cupboards of my "trigger" foods.

The best one isn't really a compliment, but I just love it when people don't recognise me or do a double-take!
The compliment I value most is from some of my dearest friends who say we always loved you before and thought you were beautiful, but are so proud of you now.
The third is all the other compliments combined as they always make me feel so fantastic and are the best incentive not to put the weight back on.

I generally have 2 shakes at lunch time ( I make a massive mousse - i know i'm not allowed) and then I have a bar at 8pm ish.) Although this week I am trying porrige in the morning, mousse at lunch bar at night!

2. Do you freeze cd bars?

I have had them frozen but I prefer them out of the fridge :)

3. How much water do you aim for each day?

I aim for 3 litres, I always have one in by 11am.

4. Do you exercise, if yes, for how when and how long?

I walk my dog - Olive everyday I also try and swim once a week and I work in a busy pub 3 times a week in the evening, so I run around!

5. Do you have a variety of shake/soup flavours or stick to the same flavours?

I normally have 14 chocolate, 7 peanut and a MAM however I very rarely have strawberry!

6. How do you cope when things are tough?

I get in bed a feel sorry for myself, or I come on here or take it out on my mum (sorry)

7. Do you weigh yourself at home, if yes, how often?

I Weigh myself about 3 times a day hehe and always after a wee!

8. Do you experiment with shakes/soups/bars/tetras (i.e. frezze tetras - icecream, cook soup - crisps) what is your favourite?

I have done all the tricks possible! I have to say I like making the trifle.

I am SS sometimes SS+

I WI on a Wed evening

I have lost just shy of 4 stone I want at least another 2!

12. What do you do to keep yourself motivated?

Look in the mirror naked, that will either make me carry on or cry!

13. What 3 things do you enjoy most about cd?

not having to think about what to eat, not having that horrible stuffed feeling and the fact I have lost nearly 4 stone!

14. How does cd fit into your lifestyle or not?

I realised a lot of my socialising was done around food, so I have found it quite difficult!

~ being called a foxy lady
~ when a big group of my friends told me how proud they were
~ getting told by a guy I think is gorgeous, that I am looking seriously hot now (although i still want to ask him what was wrong with me before)

Used to freeze tetras but now way too cold.

5 stone 10lbs... lost 5 stone 2lbs already :)

I look for recipes :p

Quick weight loss, liking myself and being happy.

Yes! Bit harder on SS but now I'm on 810 I can stick to chicken salads if I have social arrangements.

Watching the weight go down, not having to make food decisions and feeling more confident

Its great as I stay at home with kids but is hard when I need to see family

breakfast - 7.30am
Lunch 12pm
Dinner - 5pm

Only when trying not to eat them all at once.... I figure if I freeze them it will put me off eating more than one in a day.... unfortuntately they taste just as good. So I have to limit my bars to 2 a week, or I just have 3 a day until they are gone... not good in the side effects department.

3 litres

4. Do you exercise, if yes, for how when and how long?

No - I jumped on the excuse that we are not allowed, and ran with it (not literally). Am starting to think perhaps I should start something.

Chocolate tetras everytime, can't stand the rest. Occasional banana tetra if I am feeling adventurous. Peanut and cranberry bars once a week.

6. How do you cope when things are tough?

If we are talking with the diet, I get on here and usually keep myself occupied enough for the cravings to pass.

At least twice a day, first thing in the morning (after the toilet.. TMI) and when I come in from work..... I know its a bad thing but it really is habit

I vary between SS and SS+ depending on mood. These days I don't go longer than 4 or 5 days on SS before I need a small meal. At the beginning I could go weeks, but the willpower has dwindled.

10. What day of the week do you get weighed with your cd?

Monday 5pm

11. What is your goal in weight off altogether, since you started cd (i.e. I want to loose 'idealy' ...... stone) and how much have you lost so far?

I wanted to lose 8 and a half stone
I have lost 6 stone
2 and a half to go

12. What do you do to keep yourself motivated?

Shop... I am in Next at least twice a week, and try on all the other sizes, and it is amazing what sizes actually fit. I also spend ages on Ebay buying random things in random sizes, that I know will one day fit.

13. What 3 things do you enjoy most about cd?

Getting visibly thinner every month
Getting weighed and seeing it all fall off

14. How does cd fit into your lifestyle or not?

I must admit I do adapt to make CD fit my lifestyle. I stick to it generally, but if there is a social occasion I do go, and just make a sensible choice when in the restaurant. This used to be about once every two months, but at the moment, its about twice a week, and my willpower is being tested.

Each time I see you you get thinner and thinner, you look fab

Literally everyone at school comments, I can't walk down a corridor without a teacher/dinner lady/LSA/Student making a comment.

The funniest ones are the students/male teachers who comment on how well I'm looking, as they think it would be rude to comment on the fact they noticed I was fat before.

What a fun task this was.

6stone I wanted to lose but now I want to lose 7 stone I have lost 5 so far.

Being able to fit into nice clothes, feeling better about myself and my before picture lol.

While i was at cdc traing day some of the girls said they couldn't imagine me being 5 stone heavier.

people use to say but you have pretty eyes when i was fat but the other day at the nail bar the girl said you have very pretty blue eyes and her friend said she has pretty everything and that was lovely.

My hubbys best friend who has know me thin, massive and now said he can see the old me again not just in looks but confident and happy again which coming from him is great as he isn't a big talker.
 
Great to read how everyone's regime is so different.

The 3 changes I am going to implement this week are:

1. I'm changing my weigh in to Saturday morning (like bmthsue) I really think this will help me to stay focused over the weekend when I find cd particularily tough :)

2. I do not experiment with shakes, never have really. I am going to find the cd trifle recipe and try it out (like onlyme)

3. Lately exercise has been an issue - it's been non existent. This week I am going to make a consious effort to walk more (like sbridge7) I think it will help clear my head, battle with the food demons and make me feel better!!!

I will announce my weight loss after 1 week :):):):)

About 7.30, then 3 to 4 p.m., and I have a Low GI meal at night.

No, but I cut them up into little chunks to be nibbled slowly with a hot drink.

3 litres of water or flavoured water, plus tea and coffee.

No, I keep saying I am going to start. And, I need to.

I have a variety incl. soups, but I am finding that I prefer the shakes. I am sticking to Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla.

Not sure I do cope -- I have a few rough moments. Being on this website helps. Trying to accomplish things (tasks, chores, etc.) helps.

Once a week -- if I can control myself.

No. The thing I like best about this kind of diet is how effortless it is.

I have SS'd in the past, but for the holidays I am doing one Low GI meal a day. After the fifth of January, I will probably SS until I reach goal and then some. (Since I will add back the gylcogen.)

With this restart it was 2 stone. I think I have lost about 1/2 a stone.

Try on clothes that fit last year and are too tight now.

How simple it is too use. Since I am using the US Soy based Food for Life... the soy product agrees with me much better than the LL ones did. And, if you follow the diet you lose so fast.

It works okay for the most part.

1. I will try to at the very least walk more.
2. I will do a experimenting with the shakes to add variety.
3. I might try freezing the bars... make them last even longer.

my three changes are 1. to try new flavours I have tried porridge so far and it was ok.
2. drink water or herbal teas when feeling hungry
3. be organised so there is no room for bad choices while out visiting friends and family over xmas
