Changing Group

When you change group I heard that you aren't eligible for SOW/SOM etc until your membership has been transferred, does anyone have any idea how long this takes as it's a bit mean I think

Not sure you can get SOTW as you wouldn't have been in that group the previous week.

But isn't the info of your previous losses stored on your card when you switch? I don't mind too much about that but when you are an existing member of SW I think that kind of stuff should carry over really.
