Hi I have just made the SW choc cake using All Bran and it seems very wet! Anyone any ideas wot I have done wrong. I followed the recipe to the letter, honest!

Hi I have read some of the other's when they made this, and you can drain the liquid off after the all bran has softened they say. I didn't when I made it. I also added two teaspoons of strawberry jam on the top and in the filling as I found it had a much better taste to it. Also you can add a drop of orange essence into the mixture, it all adds a little taste. Scan bran I haven't used yet but going to look up the new choc weetabix as they are really crumbly and think they could work well too.. happy cooking. xx:):)

try the beetroot chocolate cake is lovely :)

Yes, you have to be careful not to add too much liquid. Just enough water to soften the All Bran, then drain away any excess. Because when you add the 3 eggs, that adds a lot of extra liquid.
