Hi I have just made the SW choc cake using All Bran and it seems very wet! Anyone any ideas wot I have done wrong. I followed the recipe to the letter, honest!
Hi I have read some of the other's when they made this, and you can drain the liquid off after the all bran has softened they say. I didn't when I made it. I also added two teaspoons of strawberry jam on the top and in the filling as I found it had a much better taste to it. Also you can add a drop of orange essence into the mixture, it all adds a little taste. Scan bran I haven't used yet but going to look up the new choc weetabix as they are really crumbly and think they could work well too.. happy cooking. xx
Yes, you have to be careful not to add too much liquid. Just enough water to soften the All Bran, then drain away any excess. Because when you add the 3 eggs, that adds a lot of extra liquid.
