    Starting a new weigh-in thread - in fact, starting a new everything after a bad year last year in which I lost my job and had to look after my mother at the same time as trying to get back into the jobs market.

    Last week weighed 12 stone 6 lb, my original starting weight last year.

    This week, 12 stone 5 lb - 1 lb down, 33 lb to go. If I keep going down by a pound a week, that's fine by me.

    Thanks Just Peachy, you're completely right! And the slower it goes the longer it will take to come back - or so I tell myself!

    12 stone 6 - gone back up a pound :mad:. Not that cross at the moment really, as my main aim was to get used to eating less fat and sugar, eat more healthily overall and lose weight really slowly. But not that slowly!

    It may be a result of the healthy eating paradox where you end up with less fat and more muscle, meaning you weigh more. I feel much better after only two weeks of eating better, and already I've got more energy, can get up flights of stairs without getting out of breath etc. I'll try and cut down a bit more, and see what happens next week.

    I'm not counting calories but I've just checked how many I'd need to have a week to get to my goal weight by September ... 1223. It's a lot less than I would have thought.

    Back to 12 stone 5 lb. Slow but going in the right direction.

    12 stone 5 lb again. I'm eating less fat, less sugar and less food, and feeling a lot healthier and fitter, but I'm not losing weight. I obviously need to make some changes.

    12 stone 3 lb. Have cut down a bit more and it looks as though it has started working.

    12 stone 1 lb, one pound down. Surprised as I thought I had gained weight.

    :D 11 stone 11 lb - a big drop for me. About a quarter of the way to goal now.

    11 stone 10 lb - another pound gone. A bit surprising as I wasn't eating carefully this week. I was eating chocolate mini-eggs and chips yesterday (not at the same time of course!).

    Been off the 'healthy eating' for two weeks - back up to 11 stone 13 lb.
