I've noticed that Tesco diet cola has Phosphoric Acid listed in the ingredients and no Citric Acid. However, it also contains Sodium Citrate. Does anyone know if this be OK to drink instead of Coke Zero? (It's a lot cheaper than Coke Zero!)

Sodium Citrate is a salt of Citric Acid, and while not exactly the same thing they are related compounds and are used in soft drinks for the same purpose.
Whether it has the same effects on CD as Citric acid i dont know for sure but i'm guessing possibly yes.

I drink Tesco diet cola (the mid price one) and have been ok. Then again I was ok with Diet Coke too.

Really? Well I haven't tried Diet Coke, but I was fine with Coke Zero and I found it really helped to fill me up without knocking me out of ketosis. Think I'll give the Tesco Coke a try.

Apparently Diet Coke was allowed on the old CD - up to a pint per day?

I'm such an addict (I was drinking about 2 litres a day before CD) i thought i would never manage without it. I'm in week 6 now and only have had one small glass since starting. I feel so much better without it. Less bloated, my skin is clearer, my teeth feel better, no heartburn and i sleep a million times better.

Sometimes i feel like i want a glass but then i think no i dont want to back there, to feeling like i need it again, so, even though my CDC said the occasional glass would be ok, i'm staying away from it :)
