total syns for the day 3 so far but may have a hot chocolate later so that will be another 2.5 syns making a grand total of 5.5 - saving up for the weekend:D

Didn't fancy hot chocolate so had 1 slice toast 3 syns with Lurpak lighter 1.5 syns so total of 7.5 syns for the day.

Working from home today and I am happy that I don't have to go out in the freezing cold!!

Think it will be another extra easy day for me

Breakfast: scrambled eggs and bread roll - 3 Syns for butter. cherry tomatoes

Lunch: not sure yet am not at all hungry yet as had late breakfast, might just snack on fruit later

Dinner: am craving jacket potatoes with something but not sure what to make with them

Hi Jane, how are you doing - am missing the catch ups with your diary!!

Yesterday didn’t go quite to plan!! But hey what’s new! I ended up leaving the warmth of the house as needed printer cartridge, so wandered about the shopping centre for a bit – as you do – and was pulled into the local chain of fish restaurants by the lovely food smells and the pretty coloured photos JJ

So lunch was grilled Zander filet (don’t even know what Zander equates to but it was a white fish so am saying 0 syns, with potatoes and mixed veg 3 syns for the parsley butter on the spuds (didn’t eat all of them though)

Dinner – really was not up for JP by this time , I find them quite filling and I was pretty well stuffed from fishy lunch and late breakfast, kids had pasta with pepperoni in a tomato sauce with garlic bread and I had small bowl of the pasta without the pepperoni much later. Had a couple of lovely butterscotch biscuits too – oops!! So another 8 syns there making total of 14 for the day

Today I am back in the bosom of the office and away from temptation and the lure of restaurants!!

Thought extra easy would be the best option today so have brought with me a vanilla yogurt, banana, apple and 2 satsumas, also have a sandwich made with a brown bread roll (HEB) ELF mayo 1 syn (in place of butter), filled with tomato, ham and egg.

Dinner - not sure yet – have salad stuff, chicken, broccoli, BNS, potatoes, rice, pasta etc so maybe a chicken broccoli bake with potatoes or rice and side salad - will have a think and a bit internet browsing during lunchbreakJJ

Happy Thursday everyone – the weekend is just around the corner – yeah!!!!!

Hi Claire

I do miss you in my diary - you need to do more posts so you can reach 500!! Maybe type all your paragraphs in different posts? LOL!

I'm not having a good time of it.. Still suffering with the (yet to be identified) allergies and worst still my Mum is not well. So not a happy diary at the moment..

I did break in to the 12s this week though :). My first target is 12 stone but I will readjust it to 11 stone as that was my pre-children fighting weight.

Fishy lunch sounds divine! I love Zander. We get that here a lot too. I sincerely hope my tests don't show I'm allergic to fish! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Dinner sounds good too.

Have a good day at work xx

Sounds like you are having a tough time Jane, have you seen the specialist about your allergies yet? hope you manage to get some definitive info on what you can and cannot have - it's easier if you have the facts, then you can start making permanent changes to your diet that suit your tastes, I think the not knowing is the worse part.
Hope it is nothing serious with your mum, being away from home is so difficult when a parent is ill, my dad was very sick a couple of years ago and it was awful, my brother was living in California at the time and I was here in Austria, so as I was closest I ended up shuttling back and forward. I wanted to be home to help him out but at the same time my OH was off on business travel so had to be back here to look after the boys, it was like being between a rock and a hard place. I feel for you, it is a horrid situation to be in.

Well I am sort of having the weekend off the SW plan, today will be off plan and so will Sunday, but I will try to claw some control back on Saturday at least:D.

Thought about flexisyns but decided not to bother - will be good where possible but am out for pizza tonight and a goose dinner on Sunday, neither event will be be SW friendly!! so am just going to have what I want and be done with it - I am saying NO to the sweat and tears over choosing what to have and NO to the guilt after I have eaten :D

Am planning on still accounting for everything though, just so I can see the damage in print - will stop me from losing the plot entirely and totally falling off the wagon - plus, who knows it may not be quite as bad I expect it to be (yeah - as if!!)

so today's food:

Breakfast: egg on toast, 2 mikado (just wanted something sweet!)

Lunch: couscous salad

Dinner: Pizza restaurant with friends, have decided I will have a veggie pizza and no doubt a couple of glasses of wine  so will def be over my syns for the day

Hi Claire

I think that is a good plan. SW is about living and changing habits for a lifetime and there are going to be weekends when we will want to just hang loose and have some time off dieting... If you feel no guilt, you won't fall in to the 'well I had a bad weekend so may as well keep on and write this week off' trap. Last weekend, I had a pizza on Friday and a fondue on Saturday but because I was on track the rest of the week I still lost a pound :)

So go out and have a great time.

Re: my allergies. I went to see the allergist last week and now have to carry emergency medication and an epipen as she says I obviously have a severe food allergy but we don't know what to yet so need to be safer than sorry. I have had blood tests and go back on 6 Jan for skin tests and all results - in the meantime - no flour or booze for me - not even over Christmas...

Mum is very ill unfortunately. She had stomach cancer and we found out two days ago it has spread to the bones.

Xx

Jane I am so sorry to hear about your mum, it must be difficult for you being in Switzerland, hope you are managing OK and taking care of yourself, it's easy to forget about yourself when you are worrying about family members.

Kirsty, thanks for the support hun, have been catching up on your thread too.

Well, I had pizza last night (but could only manage about half and I ordered a piccolo "small" so I suppose it could have been worse) I also had 2 white wine spritzers, again not as bad as if I had gone for straight wine. So even though way over my syns I am actually quite content;)

I am meeting my friends later as we are off to the United Nations Christmas fair - we go most years and it is always the same things but the stalls are from countries all over the world so there is usually some nice and unusual things to see. Am going to eat lunch there so will have an Argentinian Steak sarnie (hope that stall is there!!!:p )

Today will be extra easy, and the plan is

Breakfast - banana and yogurt

Lunch: steak sandwich (am going for brown bread and will tweak as HEB plus a few syns) - there may also be a caipirinha involved there too (just the one!)

Dinner: chicken and broccoli bake with carrots and maybe rice/pasta

HEA - will use some of my HEA for the milk used to make the sauce in the chicken and broccoli bake

Reporting in for yesterday ....

Breakfast yogurt and banana

Lunch: Argentinian steak sandwich OMG to die for!!!! But it had some dressing on that def involved oil, 2 caipirinha and 2 glasses if rose wine.

Dinner: mrs shah's curry with rice and 1/2 paratha

today is belly busting goose dinner day

Breakfast was toast

No lunch as need room for early dinner

Dinner: roast garlic soup, goose with knodel and spiced red cabbage, topfenschnitte for pudding ( as though it's needed!) Wine will also be on the table ( of course!!) cheese and biscuits and coffee!!!! Sounds like this could be a months worth if syns. Def back on plan tomorrow ;0)

It felt like a bit of a crazy day food wise yesterday as I was not at all organized but what’s new there? Weekend off SW and out of focus.

Breakfast was a banana; I had yogurt and satsumas with me but didn’t fancy them so they are still in the office fridge for todayJ
Lunch: ham egg and tomato sandwich with ELF mayo 1 syn and HEB for the bread
Dinner: OH was supposed to make something but didn’t Grrr!!! I had my German course for 3 hours in the afternoon, it would have been great to come home and relax but clearly that wasn’t goping to happen……
So when I did get home I ended up making a lasagna, used HEA for the milk in the white sauce and 12 syns for the cheese (for the whole lasagna – served 4 of us with some left over) and had it with roasted BNS, and side salad with dressing maybe 3 syns?? I think the entire plateful would be about 8 syns (for flour in sauce, cheese and salad dressing. Then later had a couple of Mikado sticks so another 1 syn. Looking back it probably wasn’t too bad but it felt like I had no thought to what I was eating. Not entirely sure today will be much better, but let’s see if I can get a hold of myselfJJ !!

Breakfast: banana

Lunch: ham salad sarnie
