    Hi everyone,

I'm doing lighter life and finding the abstinence very hard. I wonder if you could tell me the difference between the two programmes and why you have chosen to CD instead of LL.

I'm not going to give up with my weight loss, but I think changing the way I do this might be of benefit to me.

    Thanks! :)

theres about a half price difference hun lol. u also get more flavours on CD but otherwise, they r the same in the sense u can only have shakes/soups and bars. CD is about £33-36ish a week and u have a CD Counsellor. all CDCs r different but if u get a good one then they will really help u thru the journey but u wouldnt have the CBT u get with ur LLC.

Although there are other "with food" programs on CD at a higher calorie allowance, so if you're really struggling with abstinence, you might want to do the 790 plan, you still have 3 packs a day and a small evening meal of protein & veg/salad.

Your best bet would be to find a counsellor in your area and give them a ring, they'll be happy to explain how the different diets work & then you can decide what you'd like to do.

I do CD rather than LL because of the price, I just couldn't afford LL. I would imagine the CBT would be very useful if you get a good group and leader but I would be wary of signing up for 100 days then finding I hated the group or the leader didn't suit me.

My CDC is lovely - VERY supportive and I know she is always at the end of the phone if I need her.

Prices for CD are going up from 1st July so it will be around £34 - £38 a week depending on what items you select.

We have tetra packs in banana or chocolate which are my lifeline - I take them to work and we have 4 different chewy bars and two more like choc covered cearel bars.

It's always worth finding a CDC in you area and just arranging to go along for a chat.

Let us know how you go!

    xx

    maintaining /G.I after L.L.
    Hi Skinnym,
I have just made the change over because despite the C.b and group i could not always drink the 4 litres(as i travel a great deal with my job and cant get the toilet breaks my way to do it was drink 2 lts am 5.30 8am and 2 lts later but i was told it was not supposed to be drank like this. Also i had 2 hols and one bad week so after being told my weight loss was not as good as others my adult response was i am here for me and i am pleased with my weight loss 24 ibs in 82 days so i feel after talking to the C.d who is just down the road in Manchester i will /have changed without a break in program to loss the remaining 20 ibs. I actually prefer the one to one and lost 7ibs last week on the 790. I have spent years looking at the causes the reasons of my c.o.e working on it and getting to a normal healthy weight unfortunately after losing my father, moving jobs ,moving house, ending a 14 year old relationship i turned to my crutch and gained 3 stones the first weight gain in 12 years. L.L is great but it is not a plan for slippers 13 were in our group when i left there was 5 who i wish well they are doing great but so am i . I Hope my share is not negative but its the way i found it good luck to ever one. lv m
