I didn't think much of the TV show "cook yourself thin" but I got the book out from the library and it's pretty good. There's a book by one of the authors on her own which I can't remember the name of (but if you look on amazon and search for the name of the one called Sophie it should come up) which is also good.
I also have one called the Use it All Cookbook which I like, it gives ideas of ways to use up leftovers (anything from leftover cooked chicken to a spare chilli) and some really good basic recipes for things like chicken stock etc.
I also like the little SW books with 100 sauces/green recipes/red recipes/etc, I think there are a couple more that I can't remember the names of. I'm not as impressed with the bigger SW books, they're ok, but don't seem worth paying so much more for, as compared to the little ones.
