Hey peoples....I am gonna start counting points today and see how it goes....cant get to a meeting until Thursday week, so I'm kinda just gonna have to wing it until then:sigh:

    ANYWAY....my questions are....

Chicken Breast Fillets: Do you point them raw or cooked? I have some frozen ones defrosting in the fridge for a stir fry later on... (by the way, when I was buying them I bought Lakeland as they were lower in cals & sat fat then the Tesco HL ones...how bizarre?!)

Rice: Again, do we point pre cooked weight or cooked weight?

The stir fry veggies I am ok with lol

    Also....

What do you guys generally have for breakfast? I am this morning going to have a HUGE mug of tea and a bagel with Tesco EL cream cheese...gonna try NOT to slice my finger off this morning when cutting the bagel:rolleyes:    OK, I dint slice it off yesterday, but came toooo close:cry:

I think the bagels are 2.5 points each..

Last time I did WW, I cant remember what I had for breakfast, and because I;ve been faffing about with CD for so long now, I have kinda been having packs in the mornings so am kinda outta ideas

I'm gonna go work out my points allowance now...someone kindly posted info on a thread I started ages ago so gonna go find it!

    Thanx guys...

Chicken breasts are generally pointed at 2.5 points each.

I think bagels are actually 3 or 4 points, depends on the one you have.

Rice always confuses me. I'm off out now, but when I get back I'll try and help properly! :D

    Karen, for the points allowance,

The info I have here says:

    women

If you weigh under 10 stone -start each day with 18 points
    10 - 12 stone - start each day with 20 points
    12 - 14 stone - start each day with 22 points
    14 - 16 stone - start each day with 24 points
    16 - 18 stone - start each day with 26 points
    18 - 20 stone - start each day with 28 points
more than 20 stone - start each day with 20 points

    hope this helps!

    Best of luck xx

They've changed this now Nikki. It's worked out as follows:

    Male = 9 points
    Female = 3 points

    Age

    16-20 = 5 points
    21-35 = 4 points
    36-50 = 3 points
    51-65 = 2 points
    over 65 = 1 point

How many stone you weigh ignoring the lbs ?

    Example 13st 4lbs = 13

    Main occupation

    Mostly sitting down = 0
Occasionly sitting but mainly standing = 2
Walking most of the time = 4
Doing physical hard work = 6

An extra 1 point for under 5' 4 and 2 if over 5'4

    If you want to:
    lose weight = 0
    maintain weight = 6

    Okay so rice:

White or Brown, cooked, 1 medium portion (150g) = 3 points
White or Brown, dried, 1 medium portion (60g) = 3 points

I have to admit that I don't weigh my chicken, I just assume 1 chicken breast = 2.5 points.

Chicken Breast, skinless, uncooked, 1 medium (165g) = 2.5 points

    Chicken, roast, 1 medium slice (30g) = 0.5 points

For breakfast I'm really boring, I always seem to have cereal and fruit - although this week I am going to try different cereal and different fruit, I live the rock and roll life I do! You could have toast, banana on toast is lovely, scrambled egg and baked beans, or bacon, or an omlette. The list is endless.

Unfortunately I'm always in a rush of a morning so I don't do cooked breakfasts! lol

I hope that helps though. :D

No problem Nikki, although part of me wishes I could go back to the old way - I'd be eating an extra point a day! ;)

Glad that it still works out the same for you though! :D
