The final start of losing weight...

It’s Friday 2nd September 2011, probably an odd day to start but I’m fed up of saying I will start Monday then Monday comes and goes and I’m still no further forward. So the story so far, I live with my partner MZ we have lived together for 9 months. I was an unhappy 12 stone when we met 2 years ago and by January 2011 when we moved in together I was up to 14 stone 2lbs. MZ was overweight but in the last 4 months he has shed over 2 stone and now looks amazing. I’ve managed to lose just over a stone and I’m down to 12 stone 13lbs. Which I am proud of but I don’t feel any difference in my body shape.

Over the last 4 months I have been attending slimming world meetings, but stopped about 6 weeks ago, instead of paying the meeting fees each week I decided to join a gym instead and my weight has stayed the same to my disappointment. We have had a few occasions which I have given myself as an excuse to eat and drink what I want. No more occasions now well any I think are a reason to take me off track.

We have an amazing holiday booked for May 2012 to Jamaica which we are both really excited about but I’m dreading the fat being on show. I want to look decent in a bikini for my own confidence and I want MZ to look at me and think wow instead of woahh!

I haven’t decided on which plan to follow, I was going to go back to slimming world or try weight watchers for a change but I know the plans inside out and I haven’t done that well on them before. So instead of a plan I’m leaning towards healthy eating and exercise.

My target... this is hard for me... I do not have a lot of determination and i want to set something difficult but something I can also reach....

10 stone for me would be amazing.... that would be nearly 3 stone, I don’t know if this is achievable by May 2012... What do you think?

So 42lbs by May which is 36 weeks so 1-2lbs per week would be great.. let’s see how it goes.

So today I had a chewee cereal bar and a cup of tea with milk for breakfast when i first got to work at 7.30am.

I had some cherry toms at 10am

12pm I have a tuna salad with mayo (extra light)

For tea tonight which won’t be until 6.30pm (my sister is coming around) we will have chicken breast with rice and veg.

I will update Monday on what I actually ate tonight and over weekend and what exercise I have done.

Oh about the gym, I was doing 4 days a week of at least 45 minutes of cardio and aerobics classes. I have only been one day this week which was Monday which means I should go tonight, sat and Sunday to keep me right. We will see....

5th September.
No gym over the weekend ate only salads and fruit Saturday. Sunday made roast pork with veg, stayed away from roasties and Yorkshires. Breakfast today was fruit salad, banana for a snack then left over pork and veg for lunch. I have been drinking lots more water and less tea and that was a massive downfall for me. Planning on going to the gym after work but having such a stressful day and I’m not in the mood already, but keep telling myself it will help me to relax. Really going to try and go.

I know I need to work on my determination and will power because at the moment I have none! Although I cannot help what goes on at work as I just do as I am told, I am not realising that my weight it purely down to me and I can have the body I want! Light bulb moment but let’s see how it goes.

6th sept.
Scrambled eggs for breakfast, chicken and veg for lunch. Lasagna for tea, made using SW chilli recipe then pasta sheets and dolmio whita sauce, any idea how many syns?

7th sept. Banana and natural yoghurt for breakfast. I have baxters red lentil and vegetable soup for lunch. Are all baxters soups olkay for SW B?

I need to go back to SW properly, I'm doing it from home but really not counting or sticking to it!

I'm going away this weekend to my dads which will mean plenty of nice food and alcohol. Does anybody have a nice recipe that I could offer to make while staying there so that I can stay on track a bit. I need something simple that the whole family will eat as I have 2 younger brother under the age of 6? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
