Davina's new DVD

Hi Vicki

I got it last week as I was moving up to 1000 plan on CD and felt ready to do some exercise (I'm now back at 790, but thats another story!)

Anyway I did the warm up and chose to do the 20 min aerobic session and the pump section (arms) followed by the cool down. I really enjoyed it, the music is great, but the aerobics is high impact virtually all the way (star jumps, spotty dogs etc) and hard going (the low impact alternative is shown only some of the time), but I felt fantastic after doing it, although I'm not sure my knees and ankles could have taken it, at my heaviest weight!

The pump section is an expanded version of the arms on her Power of 3 DVD, with some new moves as it lasts 20 mins - managed it fine. There is also the intervals in between to increase the heart rate (as with the Power of 3). All in all I would say I made a good purchase and I look forward to continuing with it when I increase my calorie intake again.

If you decide to buy it, I hope you enjoy it too - but if you don't like it, don't shoot the messenger! :D

Thanks Kirsten! Think I will wait to purchase for when I move up the plans. Good luck with 790!

I'm dithering over to buy the boxset which includes the power of 3 at the moment - live in a hall of residence at huni on the 3rd floor, not sure the people below will appreciate my doing the aerobics section if its as high impact as the new one! Any one know if its similar?

Hi Sara

With the Power of 3 you just have intervals of high impact for 60 seconds then followed by toning type exercises, then another 60 second burst. You are also shown a lower impact alternative, which may be better with regard to the noise level as it does not require you to 'jump around'. Even if you did the low impact version it is a great DVD, and you will see results. BTW the toning is all set a one level, no easy/hard options - so you still get great results. I love the toning effect it had on my arms.
