Hi Nicky,
Don't beat yourself up - some people don't even get through day 1 let alone to day 10! The important thing is what you do now - put it behind you and get back on track.
Those more experienced LLers on the forum will probably have some wise words ....... was there a trigger that made you feel you had to just eat?
I hope you feel a bit beter today - you can do it :hug99:

Take care

I wouldent say you have let yourself down at all ,you done it and its out of your system ,, just jump back on hunny
we all get there in our own way ,,.

i dont know what you ate but the sooner you get back to 3 shakes a day the faster you will be back in keto ( if even you came out ) ;)

day10 lapse

Thank you all for your replies, today is a good day and im feeling alot more positive :)

Im back on my packs but have decided to give the bars a miss until my next meeting incase i knocked myself out of ketosis.

I actually felt worse after my lapse so thinking food would make me feel better was so wrong, i was physically sick felt shaky and was full of regret so it really wasnt worth it at all.

Now it is time to focus and get back on track, its good to know that there is plenty of support when you need it :)

I wish you all great success

Hi Nicky,

The only thing I could say to you, and this is what I went through by some miracle I did not eat but I had a wobbly of note about week 3ish.

Suddenly it was working I was loosing weight and I could see it, that evil little devil sits on your shoulder and tells you, you are not good enough and wills you to fail. There is a saying somewhere that says most people are not afraid of failure what scares us most is success. Will try find it and post it for you.

Hang in there its the best thing you are ever ever going to do.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory ... that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

I found the first month of abstinance the most difficult and lapsed about 4 times ... not big lapses, just little things and they didn't appear to knock me out of ketosis.

By the end of week 4 though, (4th lapse and beating myself up again!), I decided enough was enough and that was it until I went onto RTM.

Everyone is different though and you may find that one lapse enough to keep you on the straight and narrow (I was a slow learner ;) :))

Thats was a very good message thank you tange :),

Its reassuring to know that other people have lapsed and still gone on to succeed well done Mel P, how did you find it after your 4th lapse?

Hi Nicky,

I found it fairly easy after the 4th lapse and until I was getting close to RTM. After my 4th lapse I gave myself a good talking to and re-affirmed to myself, why I was doing it, who I was doing it for (ME!) and what I wanted to get out of it. Once I had those points firmly embedded in my mind again, I was fine. Went out to lunches, etc with no desire to lapse. Admittedly, it was helped by the fact that people had started to notice and I was getting quite a few positive strokes ;)

The last couple of weeks I also found difficult and found myself lapsing once again, so decided that instead of sabotaging things to go onto RTM proper. Apart from my holiday, I have followed RTM sensibly and have managed to lose the last few lbs I had left from goal, plus a few more.

Good Luck and if you want this badly enough, you WILL do it (just believe in yourself) :)

Mel
