Day 2 Cambridge Diet......help I'm hungry

dont give in!!! think about how you're going to feel in a few weeks as the weight starts falling off, think about how you'd feel if you were to give in and go off plan now? would you feel happy? or more likely guilty and rubbish - which is not a nice feeling! sending positive thoughts and willpower your way x
 
I started on Friday- did really well all that day- then my weekend was actually full of bbq's & I completely caved and ate crap- now I'm on day 1 again today- and it's only lunchtime & I'm bloody starving!!! Nothing prepares u for the hunger, not only the physical hunger but the mental- I use food in the wrong way, to ease my boredom, to improve my moods etc like most overweight people I think. But u can do it- I lost 2st in 3 weeks last time I did this, I've kept it mostly off (except 6lbs) and have lost over 5 stone over the years (see my profile pics)


I create things to spur me on, like yesterday I went shopping in town looking at all these gorgeous clothes and saying to myself... I can buy this next month and look fab! I've only got 2st to target now so I only have a short way to go in comparison to some.

I keep a diary and write down what I want to achieve, how I'm feeling.

I also do visualisation techniques- I kno it sounds a bit new age -but it helps..... I lay down on my bed-I imagine seeing friends I haven't seen in while and ther faces when they see my slim look- imagine them saying "oh my god look at u" it feels so so good!!!

I also Have some thing in my wardrobe a size to small and keep trying it on- only 1 size tho otherwise it seems like a long way off.... Also try on your 'fat' clothes to see how far u have come.

It's such a long road, but remember food is just fuel to sustain urself, this diet gives u enough to sustain u- the rest of the issue is just ur mind- u can be the slim u that u want to b.

This diet gets easier- just ride it out, have a tea or coffee & tomorro morning u will wake up feeling so so proud that u got through it. And lighter!

Like I sed I'm back on day 1, I'm 5ft 9 & 14st 8 and want to b 12st 6 and I'm bloody starving but I'm beautifying myself -face packs/painting toe nails/face tanning to boost me x
 
Its a general fact the first 4 days are the hardest, and the first week will feel like a year. It doesn't matter if you drink 6 litres of water the first week, you WILL feel hungry its just how it is, this time next week you will feel different and be firmly in ketosis! DON'T give in, the results will be worth it.
 
Agree with xsinead- the 1st week goes sooo slow on Cambridge .... Soon it'll b easier:) last time I did it, in week 2 I went to a baby shower n wasn't even bothered by the food & my poor friends were apologising to me whilst stuffing ther skinny faces lol
 
Haha, i was at a baby shower on Sunday and there was sooooooo much food, i had 2 bottles of evian in my bag and i chopped my bar up into peices and sat there slowwwwly eating it while everyone else was eating crap!! Haha :) x

I'm on day 6. I was at my in laws yesterday for a family gathering. They had a massive buffet while I downed a shake without anyone seeing. I felt sorry for myself for about 5 mins but then really proud that I didn't cheat. 'wannabefitatthirty' thanks for your post.. It's so true and inspiring. I'm going to re-read it when I feel fed up.

Wooow.. You look 10 years younger!
 
I find buffets etc really hard- hence why I cracked at weekend :-( but I do find little boosts help me.... We all need a goal, even if it's a mini goal- got to b something, I've got a few :)

You can really tell in your face.. Amazing. You guys must be so proud! I'll do some pics later so I can compare.
Im 39 years old and feel a fat frump. I can't wait to buy some new clothes! My last weight in (1st one) I was 14st 2lbs. We go away in Aug 1st. I wonder how much I can lose by then?

I started 12 weeks ago at a size 22, and i'm in a size 16 dress now!! Loving it! x
 
If that doesn't inspire the original post nothing will! :) u look absolutely amazing! I have been a 24 and now a 16- but not all from Cambridge- went from 16st size 20 to size 16 on Cambridge
 
hi i am on cambridge diet and its day 4 today am feeling good but the shakes r a bit hard to drink but at the end of the day am just thinking about the results i will get... so anyone on it and finding it alright? or is fed up? pls share and lets motivate eachother thnx
 
Wow I've just read this- I'm also back on day 1, after Xmas (with too much food)
I was 14st 8 when I wrote that, I'm now 12.9 so I've kept weight down which is good thing :)

I def stand by what I said and wish every1 success in there weightloss journey! I still want to be 11st so have nearly 2st to go
