Day 4 - not so good

Im totally not feeling this now, last night I had a massive tantrum...come facebook rant. Todays the 'big one' for me, because ive had to get up, at 7.30 with my son because my partner is back at work after xmas break. Hes been letting me sleep loads, 14hours a day actually. And ive got up, felt horrible, had a black cuppa tea but still felt awful so had a shake and im not hungry yet but im looking at the clock, thinking, the first 3 days ive not had my shake until 11am... 2nd around 4pm, and soup around 7pm. But ive got to get into an earlier routine. Im drinking water like its going out of fashion, im loosing my patience (had my niece last night. 2 year old son + 4 year old niece = nightmare) and im generally feeling crap :( or more so, sorry for myself. Ive been 100% all the way, last night was so very tempted but didnt. I plan on being 100% throughout my journey, but im fed up of sorting everyone else out then sitting with my shake/soup! It doesnt help that its nearly totm and this makes me so irrate and possible the most annoying, moaning, dramatic female walking the planet! Oh ho hum, onwards and upwards, feels better now ive ranted somewhat. Just need to know that ketosis will kick in at some point, and I will start to feel better but as of now, weigh-in (fri) seems so far away.... :(

Yep, annoying, moaning, dramatic, and dare I say self pitying lol. However, all totally and utterly normal whilst doing TFR (especially the early stages) and I completely 100% understand where you're coming from. It can be really hard work sometimes and TOTM definitely won't be helping. Things will get easier, you will get into an earlier routine, and eating now definitely won't help - it'll just reinforce the eat whilst stressed vicious circle, and you won't feel any better afterwards. Most likely will just add feeling like a failure to your list of woes. Ketosis can't be far off for you now. Stay strong, get through this hour by hour, come on here, rant, whatever. You can do this! Good luck xx

It just feels like everything is against me today. My pets, my son, my partner ... the world! I know it'll pass, and I know tonight when im going to bed i'll go 'oooh ive got through day 4' but right now I feel like punching the walls. Think ive just got to take 5, have another cuppa and chill. Thank you for replying though, I need loads of motivation, especially when my other half is at work because its too tempting :( x

Rant away, might make you feel better! Things do ease up, honest, if you can stick this out I promise that you will feel amazing in a day or two, check out my Blog to see when it happened for me! I know that all of a sudden I felt like I could rule the world, then you'll get a great weigh in at the end of the first week and it will all be so worth it and give you the incentive to carry on.

Whatever you do don't cave in and eat, if you do you will hate yourself even more than you do now and you still won't feel better......

Thank you! Ive tempted but not done it. I just chuck whatever it is at the dog - shes loving it. I cant wait until Friday though! Does having scales in the house (if you have them) help? I dont have any, thankfully because id have scared myself into loosing it beforehand. However im now tempted to invest in some.

i have scales,, but i dont know if it helps or not! i like to weigh myself every day or second day just to see how im doing, but everybody is different!!!

Now,,, why dont you make a list of mini goals for yourself and set them somewhere where you can see them, maybe a list in the kitchen on the fridge and a list in the bedroom? make it look all pretty.

Also why not make a list of things that you want to have done before your first shake,, second shake etc... that way you will keep yourself occupied and time will fly by and youll be exhausted by the end of the of the day and youll need an early night! keep busy busy busy and you will be fine chin up xxxxx

That sounds good! Now, i managed 6 hours between shakes and just have my soup left which I wont have until my son/partner has their tea, around 6.30pm. So ive somehow got through most of today, thank the lord! But I will do that with the list of things :) oh im such a moaning wreck... hormones are in overdrive I think x

Hi fizzstar, it does get somewhat easier. I am doing 100% all the way am day 10 today and i think if i wasnt 100% i would lose control and fail. It is a huge sense of achievement every single day to look forward to next day knowing have done the right thing. And I believe if I keep on just doing the right thing one day at a time then my life will change. Keep faith it will work and i read on here somewhere "Discipline is remembering what you want" Good luck and keep posting if it helps.

Feeling alot better about myself today :) It does get easier doesnt it? I think ive gone through ketosis cause ive got bags of energy, feels like before, im fine. I made my son his breakfast without wanting any of it. Im happier and feeling loads more optimistic! Thanks everyone xx

Hi Fizzstar,
I am on day 5 today and I feel hungry today for the first time. I think it is for the same reason as you I was up at 6am this morning kids all back at school today and hubby back to work, so no sleep ins. Stick to it we nearly have week 1 over then its all good from there in. I can't wait to try the flap jack on second week I am really missing chewing. Good luck. xx
