Hey all,

Well i started CD (The one with no food!) on monday, and its been alittle icky so far, i am almost always hungry, have to keep mentally kicking myself when i reach out to get some food without thinking about it, constantly pee'ing from all the water and generally feel a bit naff, tell me it gets better soon, i don't think i can do it much longer if it continues like this!

My head is set in stone, i WILL get this weight shifted and be happy, but between the NASTY tasting products and the lack of something solid, its an up hill struggle!

Tell me when the Ketosis kicks in everything gets much better! please!!:cry:

Well done on starting CD. And yes after the first few days it does get easier. And when you have your first weigh in then you will be so pleased you started. Just keep posting and those few days will soon be over.

hey Martyn and welcome. You'll be in Ketosis probably tomorrow and the hunger will go. Just think, when your tummy feels like its rumbling, just imagine it's burning fat. The way my rumbles it's certainly getting through it. The first 3 days are the hardest, but your almost there. You'll probably lose 7-14lb this week and believe me that feeling is better than any food.
Keep coming on here for support, everyone is fab.
I'm doing CD aswell and it's weigh day tomorrow and I'm looking forward to that.......

Thanks guys, i am just gonna wait for the big K to start and take it from there, if i have to much trouble, i will prolly just swap to the one that has the small meal at the end of the day, but wanna avoid it at all costs. I wanna get this over and done with ASAP lol.

Try and keep off the food for as long as possible, it won't take you long! If you're struggling at this time of night this is a fab site...Failing that fall into bed.....You can do this!

Hey buddy I started sole source on Saturday so I'm a couple of days ahead of you and I have to say yesterday was hard but today has been a lot easier. My advice is stay away from the TV tomorrow because all I kept seeing was food porn on every ad break so steer clear if you can or turn over for the ads at least. Today has been so much easier. I didn't watch any TV and spent most of the day on this site. I'm on leave from work by the way! Anyways. Good to see another bloke on board and good luck over the next day or so. It's the mental struggle which is the hardest!!

I wanna lose about 110-130 lbs depending on how i feel when i get down there! hehe. And thanks for the words, i am glad it starts to get easier!

I also think i am turning into a whiner to my friends, and i am flat out not going to the night out we had planned for Thursday, i will drink and eat i know i will! So not going to happen! lol.

And Yea pete is good to see more blokes doing it, and we have about the same amount of fat to burn, atleast we can cheer each other on! lol

SOOOOO hungry right now!

Hey martyn, it does honestly get easier when your in ketosis, the cravings vanish and you get a feeling of well being and i found i had loads of energy! You will get the weight off mate and the feeling seeing the clothes hang off is brilliant!!

Hi Martyn I'm new to CD too, started Monday so am just going into Day 3 now and yesterday was a bit icky, felt hungry and lightheaded most of the day but am feeling tons better today and so motivated! Had a sneaky check on my weight this morning and have lost 8lbs in my first 2 days so can cope with a bit if hunger if thats the results I'm gonna get.

Stick with it, you sound really determined and in the right frame of mind so just go for it, its not forever and just think how great you're gonna feel when you can see the results of that determination. I've got about a 100lb to loose and it seems daunting but I will get there.

Keep off food as long as you can and drink loads of water , this is by far the fastest route to slimdom.xx

Hi again, I've had another good week, 5lb off! That's 10 packets of butter....it's well worth the mood swings, hunger pains...that feeling when you step on the scales keeps you going until next week.

Day 3, don't think i am in Ketosis yet, still have rumbling belly and urge to eat my friends arm! Had to leave the living room, again, as they where both making their lunchs and it smelled far to good. Gah! lol.

I am not even close to quitting yet i don't think, i have the odd 'Why am i doing this?!l' and then its gone into the ether! lol.

Grats on the loss Percy!! Oh and grats Debs! Looks like me you and pete all started at the same time with the same range of weight to shift, yay!

hi - i'm on week 2 and am proof that it works, lost 10lbs in first week. wk 2 now and NO HUNGER or side effects at all. keep going.

New starter

Hey.. I started also on Monday - and have got to say today has been my worst. This morning there were tears (thank goodness for an understanding partner!) I am so hungry all the time. Here is hoping that I wake up tomorrow morning and feel at least human! x

I know what you mean Billy, i had class this morning, got home and apart from an hour or two doing some Uni work, i have been curled up in bed willing the hunger to just sod off lol.

Really hope the big K kicks in soon and the hunger pains go, i am really starting to lose some faith right now lol. Still got one pack left for today, gonna have it at about 8 tho so hopefully it will get me through the night, might have the spicey tomato i have.

Its easier after day 3!

Hi,

I am on day 6 of SS. I was told to drink more water to avoid headaches and nausea as its a sign of dehydration. I also have one small bottle of Coke Zero a day and milk in my coffee (no more than 200ml in the day). Its worked well as I have lost 1 stone already!

You lost a stone already? Omg well done!!! A stone in 6 days nice one, i am only on 4lbs.. blah lol
