    Starting Slimming World on Tuesday 5/8/14 (cos that's when my group will meet and don't think I can do it without the books. So from what I can remember from the last time I went to SW and have supplemented by looking up online, I am trying to make a half decent diary for next week so that I can shop tomorrow. Here is my plan for Tuesday.

    EE: 6 1/2 syns

    B: Bacon and egg sandwiches:
    2 slices wholemeal bread from 400g loaf (HEx b)
    Lean bacon, grilled Omelette, 3 tsp lurpak lightest spreadable - 3 syns (for cooking the eggs)

    S: Mullerlight
    Tea with milk (HEx a)
    Hartley's sugar free jelly (1/2 syn)

    D: Homemade butternut squash soup
    Roast chicken without the skin
    broccoli and cauliflower in fat free yogurt and extra light Philly sauce (2 syns)
    New potatoes
    Gravy (1 syn)

    Thursday 7/8/14

    Extra Easy, syns 2 1/2

    Breakfast: 2 alpen light bars (hex b)

    Lunch: Bowl of homemade lentil soup
    Celery sticks

    Dinner: Pork stir fry and steamed rice
    (Pork, soy sauce, basmati rice, red and yellow peppers, onion)
    50 cals of char Sui sauce to glaze pork (2 1/2 syns)

    Snacks: Strawberries and melon

    Extra easy, syns 9

    Breakfast: 2 Alpen light bars (hex b)

    Lunch: Chunky homemade minestrone soup
    1/4 matthesons light smoked sausage sliced (3 1/2 syns)

    Dinner: Spaghetti bol
    (Extra lean mince, spaghetti, onion, mushroom, red pepper, tinned toms)
    1/4 jar Lloyd grossman tomato and chilli sauce (4 syns)
    Oil (1 1/2 syns) - used 1 tbsp olive oil at 6 syns, had 1/4 portion of meal.

    Saturday 9/8/14

    Extra Easy, syns 6 1/2

    Brunch: 2 WW sausages (1 syn)
    Bacon, scrambled egg, beans, tomato
    Ketchup (1 syn)

    Snack: Frozen mullerlight
    Fruit salad

    Tea: 2 slices wholemeal bread
    Light spreadable butter (3)
    Strawberry jam (1 1/2)

    Breakfast: 2 Alpen light bars

    Lunch: Pasta, ham, mushroom, tomato, with fat free fromage frais
    Fruit and muller light

    Dinner: Tomato and herb pasta with hex a cheese
    2 pancakes (9 syns)

    Evening: 3 vodkas with diet coke (12 syns)

    Lunch: 1/2 crustless quiche (6 syns)
    Ham and tomato slices

    Dinner: Cheeseburger and potato wedges:
    Extra lean mince, onion, egg, herbs and seasoning
    Wholemeal roll (hex b)
    Reduced fat cheddar (hex a)
    Tomato, lettuce, onion
    2 tbsp ketchup (2 syns)
    2 tbsp extra lite mayo (1 syn)
    Homemade wedges brushed with oil (1 1/2 syns)

    Breakfast: Coco shreddies, semi skim milk (from yesterday's leftover hex a)

    Lunch: Bowl of leftover chow mein (3 1/2 syns)

    Dinner: Omelette:
    Eggs, ham, tomato, spring onion, cheese (hex a)
    1/4 matthesons reduced fat smoked sausage (3 1/2 syns)

    2 tbsp peri marinade (1 syn)

    with fat free Greek yogurt and paprika dressing
    Can diet cherry coke

    D: 1/2 portion tortilla chips and salsa (9 syns)
    Beef enchiladas (17 syns)
    Salad, no dressing
    Diet 7up

    Hi Tracey, no I don't mind at all. I made the diary to keep track but also so that others can get inspiration if it's needed. I think I've got off to a good start on SW and I'm mostly enjoying the food. I'm currently trying to wean myself onto fry lite spray as I couldn't stand it at first. Switching to stevia sweetener instead of sugar and diet soda or sugarfree squash instead of fruit juices has been tough but well worth saving the syns. The real difficulties have been when I'm out though. :)

    Yeah I also find it hard when I'm out and I have found that you need to do so much planning and organising if you want to stay on track but when I do I find it a lot easier to stick at it!

    Homemade chips with 1/4 tbsp oil (1 1/2 syns)

    2 tbsp ketchup (2 syns)
    Fruit salad with mullerlight

    S: Apple
    3 martinis (7 1/2 syns) with diet lemonade

    D: Chicken, mushroom, onion, red pepper, reduced fat smoked sausage (6 syns)
    with herbs, chilli, plum tomatoes and fusilli pasta
    Herb roast potato cubes, oil (1 1/2 syns)
    Can diet coke
    Sugar free lemon squash

    S: Apple

    L: Omelette cooked in fry lite with bacon,
    mushrooms and tomatoes. (Weaning myself onto fry lite)

    D: 1/4 portion special chow mein (2 1/2 syns)
    Fried rice (4 syns)
    Mushrooms in gravy 1/2 portion (couldn't find a value but it's thin stock-like gravy, counting as 2 syns for possible oil to cook mushrooms)

    S: Tea throughout the day with semi skim milk (hex a)
    2 Alpen light bars (hex b)

    Bowl of melon chunks

    D: 1/2 of a large donner lamb portion (6 1/2 syns)
    Homemade chips (1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 hex b)
    Reduced fat cheddar, grated (hex a)
    Salad, pickled onions
    Drizzle of chilli kebab sauce (about a tsp but couldn't find a value, counting as 1 syn)

    S: Options Turkish delight hot chocolate (1 1/2 syns)
