I have put on nearly 3 stone in 2 years. My life has been a living hell for many reasons and my self esteem has plummeted. I am ready to get *me* back. And get back on the dating wagon having been single for a number of years also.

Atkins/keto/low carb has worked for me before and I'm determined to make it work again. I will be aiming for <50g carbs a day as I get into keto with this.

Will post recipes and MFP stats to keep on track.

Morning. Planned my meals so don't go off track.

I get that protein is meant to be quite low on this diet but I can't seem to bring that down and the fat any higher with out literally eating spoons on butter lol. I fry everything in oil. I deep fat fry stuff and yet my protein is high.

However I seem to be going in the right track so onwards and downwards!

Deep frying wouldn't be the most healthy thing in any diet, try up your fats with avocados,olives, coconut oil etc. Good fats are the key. Don't worry to much about them being lower, you'll have days when they are higher and days when they are lower. This time around I'm not using MFP to track, just going back to basics.
