what is the difference in following EE without the carbs, to doing red days? only ask as i have trouble using my HEs, so i do EE as thats only one of each, but then i not eating many of the carbs..but i was also told i need my HEs to keep my weightloss up, so whats the difference? x...sorry if that was a bit gobble-de-gook! i know what i mean in my head lol xXx

EE without the carbs (i.e the free food on the green pages in your book) basically IS a red day. On those days you should be having one or 2 HexA and 2 HexB as these help you to have a more balanced diet and get the right level of fibre. That's why potato in any form in free on green but to have it as a HEx on red, it has to be in skin.

If you're struggling to add HEx's why not cook with olive oil instead of frylight, or add some nuts or dried fruits to yogurts? The HExB lists when following the red or green plans are much bigger than the HexB on EE. Have another look in your books and I'm sure you'll find something you want or could incorporate into your day.

so u cant really do red with only 1 of each HE? will be having another look through my book then to see what else i can add...
erm u only have to have 1 HEA if u want though dont you? it is 1 OR 2 HEA isnt it?
ohhh n i have just seen peas and b/beans can be a HEB too on red.... ok thissint too bad, i can get 2 in easy then lol i think HEB = bread lol which, to me seems to be devils food! lol bloat like a puffer fish lol

Ooh, it's definitely not just bread- there is loads to choose from. I never have a problem with getting my HEx's- I wish I was allowed more than one on EE!

Remember you can use olive oil as a hexb I'd that helps x
