Donna's fighting depression and weight diary!

Hazel that sounds amazing - do you use red or green pesto? and what is rice crumb?

Thankfully no more snow - the roads are mostly clear and pavements aren't very icy thankfully

Noah was up early this morning (5:45) but I think its because he heard his Dad going out at 5am bringing him into a light sleep and early rise...I'll just get him into bed a bit earlier tonight to balance it out

Been to the Factory Shop after toning tables - bought some party game prizes (one for each child), napkins, birthday cards, party boxes, cake boxes etc so think that's everything bar the food

Can't decide on Mongolian Beef or Beef Curry tonight?????

I use green pesto as I dont like red as much - but DH prefers red so on his chicken he gets red
rice crumbs are like dried bread crumbs - I get them from health food shop - I dont have much wheat as my body complains if I have too much so you could use ordinary bread crumbs and teaspoon of pesto should do 2 chicken breasts (unless you want to use more) because of the summery taste of the pesto I do think it more a thing to go with salad or lightly steamed summer veggies

Poor Noah being away then I was up but too far away to do any early morning child minding - my usual wake up time is 5.15-5.30 and then I just read until its time for DH to get up

Ooo what is Mongolian beef
glad you asked that :) I dont know either :):)

Hey Donna

How are you? Well done on losing 21 inches, thats bloody brilliant!!! You seem to be doing so well on CC. It seems to suit you. I was half heartedly thinking of doing it, but it seems too tough to figure out cal content for everything you make! Do you find it time consuming working it all out? X

Just a quickie...I have just taken my measurements as today is my 4th week...drum roll...I have lost a total of 21.5 inches from my body!!!!!!

:wow: Thats brilliant!! Well done

No not at all because most of us use myfitnesspal to do the calorie counting bit for us - its so easy!

So say for example you make a Spag Bol fro scratch, how would you count it all? X sorry but I know that people do so well on this diet, but it all seems such a faff counting everything.

How i work out mine, i'll use my Mozarella and Salmon as an example. As it's a meal i cook often i have saved the data under Recipes so i can easily add it the future.

You can add how many it serves ie 4 so you list all the ingredients and it divides it by amount it serves, As i have 2 children i sometimes say it serves 3 as my 2 boys have same amount together as me and my husband if that makes sense but it depends on the meal.

It can be a pain weighing everything but you get used to portion sizes etc which makes it easier. I make sure i weigh cheese every time as i often add too much but things like chicken breast i know how much mine weigh and they tend to always be the same size each time.

MFP also has a scan option on the iphone, which is brilliant. You can scan the package and just input the amount you have. Most of the time it's easy to work out as it say 1/2 a pack example.

On mfp, there is a section under food for recipes - you input the ingredients and servings and it gives you the cals per portion, you save it - and add to your diary whenever you eat it - sounds a lot of faff but its so quick and easy to use - loads of us are on it for support - its fab

Hmmm, thanks ladies, its definitely given me food for thought. I tried downloaded MFP app on my iphone but it wouldn't do it as my phone is out of date for the software that MFP uses - PAH! I think you can do it online though, so I may look into it.
