Don't you just hate it when....

dyjhiw you're on a sw support group (online) and people are bragging about the fact that they tweak/food abuse.

Why do people even bother paying the fiver a week for slimming world if they don't even follow the plan?

ffs....it makes me mad!

I think your results speak for themselves in terms of what the plan CAN achieve when followed properly. Don't let it wind you up - challenge people politely if they are advising others to do that because "it works for them" but ultimately, if people want to pay a fiver and cheat themselves, its no-ones problem but their own. Some people just go for the social side of things, others because they feel like they are at least trying to do something about their weight, and others because they are serious about taking the control back that food has had over them and want to lose weight for health and wellbeing. I would at least rather see people being honest about what they are doing, because that way we can support them to see that there might actually BE a reason why it isnt working for them. :)

You get given a lovely bunch of flowers at church but the daffodils in it make you feel sick with the smell!

You go to watch a show and end up with a child kicking the back of your chair the whole time! No amount of dirty looks at child or mother worked either :(

I've had this happen to me & what I say is 'excuse me but I don't think you realise but.............' you know they do know but it shames them in to doing something.

I've had it happen too.

I said: 'oi, pack that in PLEASE'

Yeah I should have said something, my looks obviously weren't dirty enough lol x

There was a woman who watched the harry potter film, think it was, and she had a go at a group of chavs for interupting the film. They followed her n her family after it and chucked bleach at her face in a pizza place. Was in news few years ago.

I do challenge people who brag. Or make fun of people who point out that they should syn things, if they were planning on doing SW to the letter. It's more of the latter that gets me. I want to be a consultant eventually, I can't possibly condone something like that, surely!

But yes, my results to show that it works if we work it :) If people are happy with their losses, that's fine. but it gets to me that people get mad when we point it out, and i don't really care about some people as such, it was more the people who didnt know that i wanted to inform, rather than the ones who fancy doing it their own way.

it just baffles me that some of them pay the fiver a week to follow sw and not follow it. but yeah- maybe they just want to socialise- but tbh, zumba or something would be cheaper, and they can cheat then too! they can just shake their hips and pretend they're doing it ;)

ok im getting *****y now :p

Don't you just hate it when- your mum, brother, mum's bf and some of his kids go out for the evening, and not bother to invite you?

I swear to god- I thought after losing nearly 40% of my body weight my mum would actually stop being ashamed to see me out in public :(

I'm so depressed now, things like this just cause me to want to give up completely! :(

Remember that - it was literally 1.5 miles down the road from me. Our local cue cinema. And they threw the acid at her in the frankie and bennys a couple of doors down after the film.

Scary times hey, horrid thing was it was so pre-empted, they'd driven to the local petrol station to buy the bleach after the film ad then drive back to the restaurant (that was full) to attack her. She was sitting at the table with her husband and two young children. Sick b*stards.

Did they catch the nasty f*ckers? Hope so...x

Yup, almost immediately.

The restaurant was packed and practically every step they made was caught on CCTV including driving to the garage and back xx

Big hug.

DYJHIW - just as you feel things are getting on an even keel after a rough couple of years life moves the goal-posts! :banghead:

and...

although you have just started a nice break for the Easter hols (which you do appreciate is longer than most people will have) you cannot get into holiday mode because you are still so wound up by work! :banghead:

and...

your sinuses have been sooooo painful today that you want to do this to them :banghead:

and...

Your wall looks like it has a dent in it!

I'm off to the DYJLIW thread now and I'm not letting myself leave until I've posted one there! ;)

Lots of sympathy for you. My parents are always going out with my sister & her hubby & I often feel left out :(

Dyjhiw you have only 2 days left of your holiday and have to go back to work :-( but dyjliw you're only in work for 2 days then back on hols for 11 days :-D

DYJHIW you have an absolute tonne of things to do and out of nowhere you have been struck with an absolutely extreme exhaustion that means you can barely keep your head up straight on your shoulders... I haven't felt this drained in a long long time.

DYJHIW all of the above still applies (although you did manage to get your sons birthday presents wrapped up) and you wake up at this hour feeling exactly as you did the last time you posters...

DYJHIW the kids next door are up yet again before 6.30! Their bedroom backs onto mine and all I can hear is the kids shouting and screaming, and their father shouting louder! It happens nearly every morning and I'm really getting fed up of it :(
