Wonder how many will be nursing poorly heads this time next week?

I'm SS-ing whilst we are over in Dublin (or maybe 790/AAM if we can find anywhere nice that does salads). I'm bringing over tetras and bars for the weekend - does anyone know if i need to put them in my suitcase or in my hand luggage???

According to CAA rules, you are only allowed to take a maximum of 100 ml of fluid in your hand luggage which has to be put into a clear plastic bag as you go through Customs. Anything more than that and they are likely to confiscate it.
Personally I wouldn't pack tetras in your suitcase as the non-pressurised cabin MAY cause the packs to explode!
Icky chocolate or banana-coated clothes are so NOT a good look in Dublin methinks *lol*

Oh no!! 100ml is more than one of my tetras, never mind the 6 i was intending to take!!!!!!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmm not into the soups at the moment - and don't fancy making up shakes in hotel room everytime i'm hungry. Not sure what to do now. Phil can have one tetra in his hand luggage and i can have one in mine - but that will only do me for Friday. $hite $hite $hite.

I've taken tetras in my suitcase a couple of times over the past few weeks on flights - didn't pose a problem whatsoever. I'll be taking tetras and bars in my case. Might put them in a plastic bag though just in case!!!

This might be a silly question but I'm assuming that my Maestro card will work in the cash machines there - it will, won't it? I'm stuffed otherwise lol!

Beverley - what about just taking bars instead of tetras as you can easily pack those in your hand luggage? Or just do as Karen's suggested and wrap them firmly in plastic bags just in case?
It's not normally advised to have more than one bar a day of course, but if it's just for the 2 days then that shouldn't be too much of a problem (and certainly better than not being able to SS at all!) You can then have a light protein salad/veg meal in the evening to make up your 790.
Mind you, the major downside of having 2 bars in one day is that it can make you incredibly windy (take it from someone whose tried it ) so Phil might not be too keen! *lol*

Erm .. dunno. What's a Maestro card?
I'll be taking my Visa Debit card which I'm sure will work in cash machines over there so I'll be able to help you out if you have problems. Fear not, fair Maid!
hey isobel... once the card machine says maestro on it then ur card will work.. and there are certainly card machines with it on them... not sure if they all are but I have seen it all the time... I'll keep an eye out over the next few days and let ya know for sure!!!
