EE - Am i getting this right?

Today so far I ahve ahd free food on red, and one HEXb and one HEXa. I hav made a gorgeous chicken and veg curry, would really love some rice with it. My understanding is, is that I can now ahve some plain rice, free on green, and make it a EE day. Sounds too good to be true to me. Can someone just confirm that this is right. I am going to have wholegrain rice anyway.
