Just wanted to say a big hello to all newbies and oldies too.
I'm a yoyo dieter who has tried every diet under the sun from The Cambridge, through to Dukan, W.W., heart patients diet, boiled egg diet, banana diet, grapefruit diet, cabbage soup diet, special k, on-line diets and even a dietician. I lost nearly 8st before now.....& eventually, it slowly creeps back on.
This time on the S.W. diet, one I have tried before but only lasted a fortnight so here I am 7 yrs later at exactly the same weight...well 1lb heavier...all these years later despite all those diets. Now, having reached my 51st yr, I have decided to give S.W. a serious 'go' & it's sink or swim time. If I fail this time, I think I will just give up & be fat & unhappy forever.
This is the start of my 3rd week in, 3.5lb lost so far so early days but have lost weight despite my passion for red wine & a couple of hiccups when I fell off the wagon, so to speak lol!
To me, dieting has to mean a change in lifestyle & habits. Whilst I've always eaten healthily with the odd treats, it's the passion for the grape juice that makes my willpower evaporate & so a nibble at crisps & so on, but any lifestyle change has to include a couple of glasses mid week & a glass or three of a weekend (large of course!) So far S.W. has allowed me the freedom of working those syns in!!! If this continues, I could be converted lol!
Thanx for reading this & nothing more to add other than wish you all well and good luck with your fight......positive thoughts to you all.
