Hey

Just thought I'd share this.

Edward Abramson, Ph.D. » Emotional Eating Questionaire

and a more indepth which then generates a report for you
http://www.shrinkyourself.com/emotional-eating-diagnostic/emotional_eating_diagnostic_1.asp

The attached document is from a link my CDC sent me (but for some reason I can't get to work anymore); I transferred it to Word for printing as I found it helpful to go through with a highlighter.

Hope it helps

Thank you for sharing.
Just one quick question: Does it can be filled by anyone at any diet, right? (once it's posted on CD forum I thought it would be better ask)

Yeah.. it's not diet specific.. .. just a general tool.

Some people will find they only tick a few boxes.. others will tick all of them.....cos like anything there's various intensities.

Thanks for the articles. I saved them. Will read them tom.

I can't afford a counsellor, so are there any recommended books for self help on BED?
or any websites?

thanks so much all

Hi

There are a couple of reputable sites that are CBT based:
www.livinglifetothefull.com
MoodGYM: Welcome
(although both these are tagged as for depression they work for any sort of behavioural change)

CBT for Dummies from Amazon is a good basic book and there is an accompanying work book too (don't be put off by the "for Dummies" aspect of the title).

Often in many areas there are counsellors that work on a "donation" basis providing services for minimal amounts. The MIND helpline might be able to help you find one?

Good luck!
