I recommend passata as in previous posts. ASDA sell it for 37p for a 500g carton (this will easily feed 4). You can use it as a base for almost anything - curry, chilli, spaghetti bolognese, casserole... etc. Just add the right herbs & spices; which once you have can last for 3 months in the cupboard.

thank you every1 4 the super ideas, shall have 2 draw up a meal planner & shopping list!
the only prob is i only have a tesco near me lol (asda ect 5 hours away hehe)
but i shall make the most of the info u's lovely people hav gave me!!

I find planning is the key as I also have a tight budget every week. Good luck

stew's are always good for when on a budget. Some cheap meat and a whole lotta veggies! I've just made a stew for tonight. Yum yum!
