Just read the Wiki entry and it says -

"During the film several doctors and dieticians were interviewed and they all stated that according to the latest research in heart disease it is inflammation (typically caused by high blood sugar) and not a diet high in saturated fat that causes heart disease and heart attacks."

It has made me so mad at world governments and how they have got it so wrong about healthy diet.
Just google "Fat Head". That's what I did and watched it online.

We all boil over regularly here, Leanne - especially once you start reading more and discovering the complete trickery brought about by marketing companies (5 a Day was a marketing campaign introduced in the States, now everyone thinks it's gospel!), potato and wheat lobby groups and ill-informed governments.

I read Barry Groves "Eat Fat Get Thin" and had steam coming out my ears for days at the complicity - but then we all know you need to be uber cynical when it comes to governments. They just do not have our best interests at heart.

At least we're eating better and more healthily! :)

Yes, Barry Groves and Gary (I think it is Gary?) Taubes were quoted. Seriously worth a watch.

I highly recommend the Gary Taubes book. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I read it!

Hi Leanne, I can't seem to find anywhere I can watch the full documentary. I've tried all sorts of links (including one dodgy looking one which my Spyware picked up ) but can only find clips, or sites that only stream to people in the US. Do you remember which link you used to watch it?
    Thanks x

No luck yet - I couldn't download it without either paying to join things or getting worried about the messages telling me the illegal download police are watching me!! Not too savvy about these things, I gave up in the end! I did find on their own site you can actually buy a dvd, I really want to see this so may splurge. Didn't see how much tho. Thanks for the info Leanne, I'll get to see it one way or another! I might try and pick up a copy of the books mentioned too - eBay here I come :)
Love your avatar of the hound by the way :)

I think I downloaded it from Torrentz thinking about it. That doesn't cost anything.
Thanks, the dog is my little Jack Russell.

    Hi Leanne,

Thanks for the info...I searched on youtube and it came up with two parts of 'big fat fiasco'...not sure if that was it, but if not, then it's worth a watch, amazing stuff but does make you so cross about the science behind 'healthy' eating.

    Hugs xx
