Feel a bit lost ...

Hi all

Been on CD since January, messed about quite a bit but been plodding on, lost 3 stone so pleased.

Had to come off CD due to money issues, and not sure when I will be able to get back, but in the meantime I feel a bit lost! Been doing CD for so long and talked about it, been on here and answered posts etc, that now I am officially not doing it, I don't know where I am!

I said I wasn't dieting as such as I need to eat up the food that I have stocked in my freezer, to rein in a bit of money. But that means that for once in about 10 years, I'm not following "a diet", and that freaks me out!!

I've talked about and been on "a diet" for so long that I don't know how to behave properly! I'm not at my ideal weight yet, so I still have some to lose, but I feel in limbo somehow.

Sorry for the long and rambling post, just trying to get my feelings down so I can try and make sense of it all!

Has anyone else been through this? I just have this weird sense of not belonging to a group. I feel like I shouldn't even be posting on here as I'm not on CD!

Guess I have many issues, and losing weight is not the be all and end all.

Sorry to hear that.
I'd say, think of this as a chance to make healthy choices. Eat whats in the freezer, and be as sensible as you can with portions and food with what you've got.

It may not be a diet, but it's a chance to show yourself you can function with real food, and you are in control of what you eat.

(If it helps plan with what you have, what and how much you will eat each day. Not a diet, but a structure!)

it sounds like you need to learn how to eat when you're not on a diet.

you've kinda proved that you cant be on a diet forever and athough its great to have an outside control on your eating habits (i know thats what i need atm to kick some bad habits!) one day you have to control it yourself.

im not expert and iv only just started the cd, but i think if you maybe made your own diet up, like make a list of how many calories you need in a day and what foods you can get them from, and make a list of everything you've eaten it might help. im sure at some point you will know how much and what to eat.
