Hello All,

I have been a bit quite this last couple of weeks............I hit a plato and oh boy not a pound shifted either way. I was getting rather annoyed to say the least. But stuck at it. I bought the new Wii fitness game and started that on Monday just gone and much to my surprise, this morning I got on the scales and have finally shifted 3lbs so am pleased. Perserverance and a whole heap of will power and I have broken the plato. So am back on form and alot chirpier than I have been. Hope everyone is well out there. I have been reading different posts to see what everyone is up to!!!

Sorry for babbling but so wanted to tell somebody how pleased I am with myself....because before I would have chucked in the towel and thought to hell with it!!

Hi Annie,

Well done on shifting 3lb this week and doing exercise:happy096:

If you do body measurements each week, you well may find that even though the scales have not shifted you are stilling losing inches and that can just be as rewarding for all your efforts sticking with your diet.

Regardless of type of diet everyone will find they have weeks on and off when the scales stagnate.

You could start a weight in thread and a food and exercise diary here for yourself and record your progress that might help keep your focus.

You have plenty of motivation now for the week ahead and keep up the ex cerise.

How you find your Wii, is it something you feel you can keep working out with?

Love Mini xxx

Hi Mini

Thank you for your advice. Yes I love the Wii - I am quite active anyway but obviously not active enuff so to speak. I have a Westie, Scottie and mini Jack so they need walking everyday so we go for a long walk up and down hills etc (the golfcourse near me has been turned into huge big walking area) so try to go for a good 45mins to an hour with then to run off there energy and me the pounds lol.

But the Wii is brill and keeps track of the time and Cals you burn, and to be honest the Biggest Looser on Telly has spurred me on a bit too!! So onwards and upwards - inches and pounds off!!!!

The nurses said to me, if you hit a plateau, then try shifting your routine around. Main meals for lunch and a sandwhich fo tea, so to speak and shift your exorcise routine roun/ try different exercise because your bidy gets used to doing the same things all the time. Eat different things also...
