I am looking on the low carb mega store
and have seen some sauces and mixes etc
am I right in thinking they are okay on Induction
if I limit them most of them are approx 2g carbs per serving

Possibly... depends what you're looking at really. If the products have artificial sweeteners, for instance, then they are not a particularly good idea in Induction as they can cause some people not to lose. If there are any grains in them then they would be a no-no since grains aren't allowed until the final stages of phase 2 (OWL).

In my opinion - and anyone is free to disagree - I think it's safest for your first two weeks on the diet to be carried out as "clean" as possible. Go right back to basics: meat, fish, eggs, approved vegetables/dairy, plenty of good fats/oils and no processed foods. You're aiming to get into ketosis and kill whatever carb-cravings you might have, and it's my opinion that if you dabble with sweeteners and/or processed foods, you're not really getting the greatest benefit from Induction.

Also, if you happen not to lose weight, then the simpler your diet has been, the easier it is to troubleshoot (again, in my opinion). Once you're happily on track and the weight is shifting, then you could experiment with adding in some low carb products and seeing how they affect you.

Anyway, that's what I would advise. :)

What they said^ :)

The longer you can put off your first lcm order the better. However, knowing they are they so you can make this a sustainable way of life is great:)

The only thing i haven't got an alternative for is One carb heinz ketchup. Everything else is manageable!
