First day on LT tomorrow

So I bit the bullet and went to the chemist this morning and did my weigh in, spoke to the chemist and bought my first week supply.

My weight was worse than I though, Im 13st 7lbs and I could have cried.:cry: I had a really serious accident 3 years and as a regular horse rider, I was a trim 10st but with having had 7 surgeries in the last 3 years being very inactive and not being able to ride for almost a year, plus comfort eating, the weight has piled on and I feel so miserable.:(

I cant believe the success you guys have had with your weight loss and I look forward to being one of you and joining your wonderful support network here.

Welcome to the forum & to LT! Good luck with it; you've clearly had a look around & seen how great the results can be! Just bear in mind the first week is tough, but, if you get through that it'll be a lot easier from there :)

Am 5 days into LT at the mo and am also a horse owner / rider with 3 to sort out every day!!!:eek: I am finding it really easy as i keep myself busy as i can.....The 1st week is tough as people say but i am finding it easier now and even cook for everyone else at home still....i just think of the food as something horrible and it puts me off ;) I have got my 1st weigh in on thursday...cant wait.....I too had a badfall 5 years ago and had a disc taken out my back and the weight piled on.. I was 17.7lb when i got weighed last week :cry: beleive me it was a real shock..

But the guys on here are brill and support you and the inspiration slide show is great to see what results you can and will have....:D

Hi and welcome to both LT and to this fabulous forum!! Get plenty of water down ya and it'll be a breeze keep busy busy busy !!! This is one of the hardest diets I have ever done but the only one that gives the results I need!! Just think a stone a month is average but you'll lose more the first month hey some people lose a stone their first week:) two to three months to feeling happy and confident again I'm sure you can do it that feeling is sooo worth it good luck use the forum well:)

Started the day off today with a chocolate milk shake with some coffee in it so it was very much like drinking a cafe mocha which was nice - Im going to be drinking a lot of peppermint tea today too which I understand we can drink loads of - its actually very very nice which was a pleasant surprise.

I have taken a few days off work to get started, as I understand there may be some light headedness and grumpiness - I will spend lots of time with my horse over the next few days and that will keep me busy:D

hiya my first day today! we are a similar weight (i am 13st .2) and i was also shocked at this! i have been 10st for alot of my adult life i guess its age catching up with me lol! it will be interesting to see if we lose at the smae rate and if we reach goal together! good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Emmiclaire - yeah we should follow each other along and see how we both do. It would be interesting.

Im already starving though lol - this is going to be hard and is going to take as much will power as quitting smoking did I reckon.

ha ha! i am starving too!!!!! lol! had my first shake about an hour ago!!! i am gonna ride it out though! gonna drink a pint of water in a bit! need to go and but some coffee in a bit as i hate black tea! will be interesting to see how i fair at work tommorrow! easier at home i think, not as many temptations! xxxx

Im at home too but I think I will do better at work as I will be more occupied.

I had my first shake around 8am this morning and have had 2 cups of peppermint tea already - my friend keeps telling me that my hunger pangs are all in my head - tell that to my tummy lol

Just made up my soup and will have that in two lots - one just now and one later - its not that bad with some pepper in it at all really - not delicious but certainly not revolting:)

Incidentally how much pepper am I allowed to use - anyone know?

yeah i had soup for lunch i dont mind it with out pepper! bit powdery but ok! i am having a shake for tea x dont like strawberry ones so it choc or vanilla for me! i wish they would bring out some more soup flavours i prefere savoury stuff :D

Wow - how hungry was I last night:cry: My poor stomach thought my throat had been slit and when I was picking my daughter up from her tutor last night, I passed McDonalds and honestly it took me all of my willpower not to just drive in and get something.

So today, I have split all my packets into 2 - so I can have something 6 times a day rather than 3 - I think that might help as I was drinking loads of water but that only staved off the hunger pains for about 5 mins really.

Didnt take my first shake, hot with a peppermint tea bag and a sweetener (yum) until after 9am so not so early today.

Im off to sort my horse out and meet with the farrier so that will keep me busy till lunch fingers crossed.
