Started my exante diet today. Had porridge for breakfast and chocolate shake for lunch. I added some glucomannan to the shake in the hope it will keep me feeling full for longer. Made the shake taste yuck so if I take it again I will knock it back with water and then enjoy my shake on its own.

Have the start of a caffeine headache so will take some paracetamol. I have two stone to lose and am starting at 10st4lb. Looking forward to shifting this weight so that I can wear my clothes again. Had twins in September and normally by now I would be back to my normal weight (I have four children in total) but twins was a different pregnancy gained a lot more weight and was unable to move around for lots of it.

Also I'm hoping that I won't feel so tired when two stone is gone. My three year old is just over two stone and I can't help thinking when i pick him up that is a lot of weight to be carrying around. Feeling optimistic and hopeful. Have tried atkins weightwatchers 5 day fast and nothing seems to be working for me so I hope this does. My biggest downfall is water drinking so if anyone has any helpful tips much appreciated.

Hi Summer, stick with the diet and you'll lose your 2 stone before the end of July.

Re the water all I can advise is to drink it, I find it easier if it's freezing - there are some cordials you can add such as tesco high juice ones, they just have to contain malic acid and can't have citric acid in them.

    Best of luck :)

Hi Summer. Good luck with your weight loss journey. Four children including baby twins and a 3 year old must keep you busy and use plenty of calories! Well done so far.

Thanks for the support everyone. Tough day today but I didn't cheat :) went to a theme park with all the kids and there was so much nice food and the smells agghhhh it killed me not to eat but I didn't. I even had to breathe through my mouth a few times to stop smelling the delicious food and then hubby got the kids a McDonald grrrrr. I sipped coke and thought of positive thoughts. Thanks for the tip on the flavoured water can we really have cordial with malic acid? That is wonderful if it doesn't get you out of ketosis. Hope you all had a good day x

Weight in this morning start of day three have lost 2lb whoop whoop!

while flicking through the forums I noticed a thread about bringing your head in and your body will follow. I'm starting day three today and have found it very hard but I know once my head is convinced the rest will be easy.

Hi Summer. I've not seen that thread but the message is certainly true! I hardly ever eat chocolate when I'm not on a diet any yet become a raving chocoholic when I am on one! It's clearly all in the mind. Well done on your loss and here's to lot's more!

Yes Lynne cravings are intense on this diet, Im hoping for the magic ketosis feeling I have been reading about. Completed day three and have been keeping strong today. Went to a garden party today and boy was I tempted burgers sangria chocolates.....I drank about 4 cans of diet coke not ideal I know but at least I didn't cheat. I'm hoping that tomorrow or day four will be the last day I feel hungry as I have felt really really really hungry today. The sunshine spurs me on though. Also I kept thinking do I really want to have to start over again if I cheat? I never ever want to repeat the last few days as have found them so tough so will just get on with it. I had to cultivate that mentality throughout last summers heat wave when I was pregnant with twins. Man that was tough but I had to tell myself to just got on with it. I also promised myself when I was swollen to triple my size and had to use crutches and was throwing up every day had pneumonia and was constantly in hospital that 2014 would be a fantastic year and I need to remember that promise I owe it to myself. Sorry to sound all America haha

Summer can I just check that you're drinking coke zero and not diet coke? We can't have diet coke as it will knock you out of ketosis.

Well done on getting through the weekend xx

Weight is the same this morning but I guess that is because of all the diet coke :-( at least I know not to do that anymore or I would have been disheartened. Today is the start of day 4 and feeling really weak and lacking in energy. Finding it tough to take care of the twins and my three year old and keep the house clean and washing etc as all I want to do is rest. Wonder if it's because of the coke yesterday or maybe is it's the start of ketosis? I've had my porridge and going to stick to water. Feel a bit rubbish today and flu like. I will carry on though x

The end of day four I'm hungry and three times today I had justified why i could just break this diet a little bit and start afresh tomorrow. I managed to stick to it though. I'm praying that I wake up In the morning with a reduced appetite and the energy everyone has mentioned. If it doesn't improve tomorrow I can't see me sticking this out :-( plus it's not helping that hubby is cooking a joint of roast pork grrrrrr

Well done on not giving in, the diet coke would keep you/knock you out of ketosis - stay with the stuff that's good for you and you'll soon be in ketosis and feeling better xx

Ok I'm being honest here I cheated last night the roast pork was driving me insane so I had some with chickpeas. I know I had messed up my ketosis by having diet coke and thus it took longer for me to get into ketosis but that meant I was literally starving for 4 days it never got easier only worse. The roast pork on the night time of day four tipped me over the edge. Hanging my head in shame. I did well today until 4pm when I cheated allot again. I started feeling weak and shaky. I'm so disappointed that everyone else has managed to do this and I can't get through 4 flipping days WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?? I really really want to do this and have bought a months supply of food. It's hard as I'm cooking for the kids and hubby keeps cooking delicious food around me but others have managed it so why can't i? Wonder if buying the coke zero will help me. Feeling a failure and rubbish x
